If the probation is 3 months and your friend is not given any extension of probation letter after the said 3 months, she is deemed confirmed on the job. By the way, why would the boss need to extend her contract till next Jan/Feb? Is this a contract job? If it is, then the boss can choose not to renew the contract.


Your friend might not have done any mistakes but the boss may feel that she is a misfit from inputs from other colleagues or from what he/she observes? Your friend should find the right time to talk to the boss and find out what’s wrong. If the talk fails, she may try to request to quit only after having successfully finding a job. Bosses are not unreasonable. However, if they are, they are not worth working for anyway.

Ds sch has yet to request for eDictionary & calculators to be pasted wif stickers. Any sch proceed alrdy or r they doing away wif the sticker thingy this yr?

My boy needs to reach school by 7.45 am & dismiss by 12.20pm. The arrival time is determine by the school.

Ds will only b dismissed at 3.30pm. Supplementary class as usual.
Am wondering is he stressed out without knowing, cos he dun look like one.
However, his recent timed papers are giving me the scare -- he is getting wrongs for all the simple qns. Carelessness to the ultimate! Nvr had he failed the Math paper 2 so badly. Thought I did give him 2 days break during Sep Holidays. Not enough? Haiz.

Ds sch gave out notice informing parents that they will be distributing it in Oct.

Alamak! Just when I thought my ds is done with prelims. Today he brought back prelim 2 exam schedule -- next week & the week after (i.e. during sep hol)! I am guessing that the marks for this will not be taken in as there is no official letter to parents. There was also no mention of it during the PTM last week. The teacher did mention about mock test though.

Anyone knows during psle, for CL, do they leave a blank page for the compre OE or will it be passage in front & qns printed at the back of the same page? Ds have problem flipping to look for ans & is usually not able to complete it within required time.

here too the same DS has a very careless writing, free hand drawing and DD in K2 BUT has a very good hand writing, yesterday had parent teacher meet all of DS teachers says to improve writing, worried much about his writing and alomost PSLE IN JUS 40 DAYS

In sch, teachers keep repeating to ds & classmates that they have only 20+ days left! She is refering to school days. The kids are like :stompfeet: :mad: cos they say weekend still got study what, not fair!
I tell ds he very happy go lucky, no stress hor. He says they are stress, just that they (incl his friends) are trying to be cool about it. Teacher mentioned some kids are stressed up and don't smile in class nowadays. Asked to watch out wor.
