Hi peeps! Jux a student here who has jus collected my psle results today:) does anyone know who the top scorer is?o.o

      Thot it was from nyps?

No one is really sure, apparently alot of '285' this year.

Maybe that's why they do not want to disclose? BRANDS will go bankrupt trying to find all of them to sponsor their products. 😓

TJC this year first year accepting S1 IP students. Can give a try.

Yes, dd's enrichment teacher was praising Temasek JC to high-heavens. Principal is from Cedar Girls. Former alumnis returning to the school to teach.

I only know TJ is 'Big Five' so must be quite good. No cutoff point, as said, because this is their first year enrolling S1 students.

    • RE: COP 2012 - For Secondary Schools in 2013

It depends, actually. For 2008 batch, EESIS is auto offered at 263 (according to ESIP form). So, if you really need a definitive answer, wait four years. 😓 😉

Ofc best sec 1 should try IP if t-score allows. However, if cant, you can always try for IP at Sec 3. Ironically, the opening up of more dual-track schools are closing up Sec 4 IP options (such as VIP, Temasek Academy etc.)

My friend said that if go at sec3 safer!true?

Sec 3 there is a chance you might not get in. Remember, they look at the S1 and S2 results + other stuff in S3 too. Also, you MUST dsa if you want to go at S3. Never heard of non-dsa IP for S3 admission.

Tao Nan 33.6% of pupils >250. Don’t know highest scorer, should be either 6K/L/M/N (Bicep or GEP). 13 pupils scored bet. 270-274, 10 pupils scored 275 or above.

    • RE: Hwa Chong Institution (High School)

Well, I heard they (used to) only take 39 because taking more will cause them to be ranked… Kekeke, mayhaps Hwa Chong wants to be reranked with the other non-IP schools?

      Mr Kiasu:
School just informed that promotion criteria for Sec 2 is MSG<3.0 instead of MSG<4.0. Anyone who scores  MSG>3.0 will go to \"Structured\" IP. This is causing a lot of distress to Sec 2 students now. They should have been informed of the promotional criteria well below their EoY exams and not now when results for all subjects have been released.

Structured IP is essentially Hwa Chong's O-Level stream.

Don't be unduly worried in the mean time; DS said the dean said in assembly that about 40% of all S4 students cannot promote using Term 3 results. We can only wait and hope for the best for the young ones.
