phankao:Police said that in the water, the body decompose very quickly. What more, it has been 2 months. And they suspect that the lower half was kept intact by the thick jeans!
I thought the chinese papers had some articles on how it was impossible for the spine to break under normal decomposition. They also said that it was impossible for human spine to break under water current pressure or due to normal fish bites.sunflowerseed84:
saw in chinese papers he eevn mentioned to his mother he want to jump into the river and die... so his family all go river n find him but who knows he jump into a reservoir...

RE: PUB explains flash floods
i dont think is climate change oso.
and i don think with current technology they can be ‘caught surprise’ by heavy rainfall. they could have given ample warning in advance to potential affected areas at least damage wont be so bad wad. -

And the \"selective listening syndrome\" will worsen over time, esp. reaching and after teen. Maybe by then, our \"nagging syndrome\" will also reduce since no one is listening anymore
:xedfingers:
Talking about hearing problem, my son has selective hearing problem.
When me and my dh were discussing about holiday program at one corner of the living room, my ds could hear our whole discussion clearly. The next moment, when I asked him to finish up his school assigment, he couldn't hear any single word. I he to walk to his front and then he could hear me. Hear me doesn't mean had will do it, I have to nag then he will do. Situation turns worse when my ds is in p3 this year where his workload increases. -

Daddy
is orchard a low-lying area? the previous lucky plaza flood they said it was due to some major drains clogging up right? i thought they would have cleaned it by now...
sunflowerseed84:
it seems like the floods happen after the barrage was built and put in operation? maybe they need to do someth abt pumping the water out of the enclosed area at a faster rate?
means our human engineering aka barrage is fail lor... they shld remove the flood control writeup from their 3-in-1 benefits....
http://www.pub.gov.sg/Marina/Pages/3-in-1-benefits.aspx#fc
\"The Marina Barrage is part of a comprehensive flood control scheme to alleviate flooding in the low-lying areas in the city such as Chinatown, Boat Quay, Jalan Besar and Geylang....\" -
