In wgps, they put kids in ability grouping for mother tongue eg CL 1/ CL 2 etc. Higher Mother Tongue is offered for P5/P6 kids only but p1-p4, lessons are paced according to ability grouping it seems.

RE: West Grove Primary
Hi Dec,
I suppose just be glad that u get an experienced teacher especially with the new mode of progressive assessment instead of semestral assessment. I shd be more nervous as my son’s teacher seems really new. No matter what, i just hope my kid will enjoy learning through the new curriculum style West Grove is adopting n don’t put too much stress for this busy mummy -
RE: West Grove Primary

[quote=\"Giggler1\"]Lexmark, my DD also in P1I class
I dun really like the teacher that's why feel so sad.
I was at the P1 Orientation too and saw the P1I teacher...actually I think you will soon grow to love the teacher. How I wish my son is in that class
She is indeed very dedicated and experienced...I have two kids(P6 and P4 in 2012) in the school so kind of know some of the teachers here. Don't worry, I think your child is in good hands.
What I know about this school is that the kids will grow as a cohort and gradually love the school more each year. My kids feel supported and happy generally. The best way I feel to know more about a school is to find out from kids in the graduating batch. I managed to get a chance to speak to current P6s and many talked so fondly about the school and their teachers. That's good enough info to this mummy at least:) :salute:
