Get the msg from DD’s Math tutor that Paper 1 is difficult.

Aiyo, this morning I told DD that she must work fast so have time to check and check. Cannot complete the paper? Die lah… I always tell her by hook or by crook, don’t leave any questions unanswered. Write one line or one calculation also better than leave the whole question blank. Hope she bear in mind.

Normally, I will just ask my DD if she finds the paper tough, easy or manageable.

If she says tough, I’ll tell her its okay. Just concentrate on preparing for the next paper well then. Don’t dwell on those past questions. I’ll try not to ask her the questions she had done because I think it would stress me & her if we find out what she had answered were incorrect.

      Oh My Gosh:

I am sure all P6 and parents can memorise the exam timetable at the back of their minds... looking forward to 5 October :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

What are u all going to do, after 5 October ?

hop onto aeroplane, go holiday overseas 🙂 ?

Well....already arranged to go HK for a short shopping trip with girlfriends after the PSLE.
Nevertheless, looking more towards the longer December family vacation though.

Dear parents, below is one inspiring message which I received from other fellow parent who I supposedly had received from a school principal to other parents before the exams and I have shared here in the hope of releasing some stress from the anxious parents.

      [\"Dear Parents,

The exams of your children are to start soon. I know you are all really anxious for your child to do well.

But, please do remember, amongst the students, who will be sitting for the exams, there is an artist, who doesn't seem to understand Maths.

There is an entrepreneur, who doesn't care about History or English literature.

There's a musician, whose chemistry marks won't matter.

There's a sportsperson, whose physical fitness is more important than Physics... like Schooling.

If your child does get top marks, that's great! But, if he or she doesn't, please don't take away their self-confidence and dignity from them.

Tell them its' ok, its just an exam! They are cut out for much bigger things in life.

Tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them.

Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world. One exam or a low mark won't take away their dreams and talent.

And please, do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy people in the world.

      With warm regards,
      The Principal \"

And for those who are exempted from MT, how is it calculated?

regarding calculation of scores for those exempted from MT, only MOE would know how to compute. the principal said that during daughter's p6 briefing.

prelim dates just released...starting with prelim oral end of this month.

Thanks. My girl's school had already commenced the prelim oral last wk. The heat is on..

Can anyone kindly advise what is the weightage for each subject to determine the T-score? Do EL and MT have higher weightage than Math and Science? And for those who are exempted from MT, how is it calculated?

      Hi,

Does anyone have any experience in staying at Korea’s ski resort a few days and taking skiing lessons at the school there? Can share which place to go? Thanks a lot!

      Thanks for the feedback.

Anyway, we have to change our travelling plans. Initially wanted to go to Europe so that can go for longer days from mid to 26th Dec. Now have to change venue to Asia. But, I guess the earliest we will come back is still 21st. Hee… I have studied the last four years exam release dates, S1 posting results and reporting dates. My guess is that the S1 posting results would most likely be 21st or 22nd Dec with S1 reporting dates on 22nd or 23rd Dec.

How I wish MOE can fixed the dates and let known to everyone in advance!! Don’t we always plan our schedules/timetable way in advance?

[Moderator's note: Please help us compile this year's Highest and Average T-scores for each school by submitting using this https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/t-scores/. Thank you for your contribution!]

      Hi,

I am wondering does anyone know when is this year PSLE Exam Release Date and when will the secondary posting be made known to us and date of secondary school registration/reporting date.

We are planning our year end holiday between the 2nd week of Dec (i.e from 12th Dec) until Christmas and we are wondering if our dates will be affected.

      Thanks for any update.
