Hi mummies,
Any ideas what is dance and gym and we need to pay $200++ for it? Is it compulsory? What about Reading Recovey Programme? Is it an extra lesson and have to stay back after school? How many days per week? Thanks. -

I was just wondering if we can actually buy the uniforms on our own from the shop/tailor instead of going down to the school on the set dates - 24 or 26 Nov.
There is still other dates stated in the booklist (Dec 10) if you cannot make it on these two dates. I think it is more convenient to buy everything (uniforms and books) from the school. -

Hi Guppy,
The girls are not tested on the 100-word list. They are expected to know them by the time school starts. When school starts, the girls have another spelling list (10 or 12 words - I can't remember) for each week or so. Yes, the English standard is generally higher. It's more obvious from P2 when I compare with friends whose kids are in other schools (even \"top\" schools) especially in Composition. Just get your girls to read good story books (above their age group) so that they are exposed to the good writing styles.
Thanks for your valuable info. Oh dear my girl english is not good.
What good story books do you recommend? :thankyou:

Hi Mummies, are your gals ready for P1 next year? I’m so worried for my gal. Her school doesn’t has spelling and homework at all. I’m very very worried that she can’t cope with her study.
