Can I ask Sec 1 students taking the Japanese elective module(in house), must they pass JLPT N5 by end of the year to advance to next year? And can they accelerate the class if already pass JLPT exam (taken on their own) and are they expect to ultimately pass JLPT N1 by end of 6 years?

iRabbit, yes! my ds also registered for RI. At the last min, he insisted must try at least 2 sch. I said no, then he asked me is it becos i dun want to spend the money for him to register ? lol win lor, so i just do it, in case he blames me later on. But i dunno how this wild card is going to play out for him...

Ladylady, I hope it's a normal math test. Not one of those that ask them think up own formulas, written theory, teamwork solving etc. If the sch really want, I wld think there are tons of creative ('difficult') ways to assess the kids. but dun listen to my blabbing, its late now i'm tired so maybe just the usual math test format.

I really enjoyed talking to the senior students like year 3 onwards & teachers, they really shared a lot of info/ personal experience whether at the subjects / CCA booths. Even the year 1 students tried their best to answer my questions.

but missed the school tour and the talk this year...just way too crowded. We even pick up a lost little boy (i think his other brother was lost eariler).... and 'coaxed' him to the general office. It was that packed with pple... :shock:

Hmmm, we r not driving to NUSH tomorrow but last week i happened to walk in to the showroom for Clementi Canopy (next door to NUSH). They have a nice big space for parking if u know what I mean... maybe some parents want to check out that property.

Yeah, tomorrow we will explore too...huge place to walk around

Thanks iRabbit ! I thot EC members only get a refund of DSA application fee (if selected for Phase 2), so maybe still must pay first ?? Plus my DS might flunk the sci test, so nothing is ever 100%, crossing my fingers. I will ask again during the Open House, looking forward to talk to more students/teachers too :boogie:

Yeah! good to see u here This yr DS's sch got AMEC training ( i think i paid $150, nothing is ever free...sigh). Hopefully it helps to prepare them well for SMOPS this Sat. I dont recall any such training for past 2 years. Good luck to those taking the SMOPS :rahrah:
