      Hi,

HIPS is a SAP school so naturally the requirement standard for Chinese is relatively there. However, the teachers are very nice and the school gives supplementary lessons to the weaker students. Since your friend is an ex-student from HIPS, he should check with the school and share with them his concerns. Am sure the school can address all the issues he has.

FYI, the school is moving to a temporary holding site at ITE AMK next year.
Thank you, it is quite a relief I am sure for him to know this that the teachers will help the weaker ones.

Thanks for the info on the move, he says in Bishan area so should not be a prob:)

Hi parents of children in HIPS,

May I know how the teaching standard is like there, are teachers good? Is the chinese std very high? I am helping to ask for a friend who just relocated to singapore, he used to be from HIPS. But not sure if it is the right school for his boy as they were in UK for a period and his son’s chinese is not that good.

      Hello parents,

Are there any full time working parents whose kids attend SJCK? Would you kindly share how do you handle the logistics , especially since it's a 3 hour Kindy,,, who is taking care of your kids before/after school? And also what do your children do during term holidays? I considering SJCK for my kids but ir seems complicated for a FTWM... Thank you for any sharing of experiences!
My oldest went to St James, at that time my mother could help and as for holidays, we will find holiday progs and I also had my mother. But she got sick later on, so with my younger ones, no choice have to put in childcare. Without your parents to help or reliable baby sitter, I find kindy quite a hassle.

I am confused. Hmm.. Anyone can explain the agenda??
Some people on the forum or maybe it is just one person has been sending some of us parents pms asking us to join a particular centre and these same people have been praising to the skies that centre on the forum but at the same time, saying that other centres or their materials are not good.

In a pm to me, one such user has advised me not to put my child in a certain centre saying that their materials are too easy. Normally I am quite chin chai but when I see such underhand moves to discredit other centres, I cannot help but speak up. Why don't just compete on your own merit, why need to pull other centres down and try to confuse or mislead us parents?

I second Friday 7.30pm class for P1 Creative Writing at Parkway. My neighbor interested also.

      Hi,
I can't help but notice too. Both you and Sweetbaby are ardent supporters of the other centre in the other thread. Good on you and we appreciate your church friends' feedback abt that centre and I agree with their assessment cos my relatives sang praises of them too.

But here you are, jumping in on your competitor's thread and checking on their schedule. I really hv to budge in.

If you really are interested, why not sign up with TAS to kaypoh their content?

This forum has many eyes. You spy on TAS. Other forumers can also spy on your posting trends.

And please, Sweetbaby, don't keep sending me PM to tell me \"(The other centre) is good\". Give me a break! I dunno if you're the founder, investor or relative of the founder of the other centre.

:goodpost: I also have gotten PM from one of the 'friends' asking me to consider that centre. Thought it to be a little fishy.
