LKVM:
But the only problem is 2B is open for the grass root leaders as well which cannot be predicted hence to be 100% sure for getting seat is not possible IMHO
So that's why i said MOE have to look into 2B between grass root leader and PVs. Imagine if you are a resident near by the school and it happen that PVs is not a guarantee can secure a place for your kid then one thing will come to your mind! go for RC member right? then who will secure a place eventually? this is something MOE should look into phase 2B and need a change. We parent as a PV need a fair treat.bluesky98:
Had anyone heard anything about in future PVs under phase 2B is guarantee a place in order not to let parents disappointed while putting so much effort on their volunteer works and also encourage parent to come forward for volunteer job.
If that so then i can say is a wise decision! this is something like a reward while you work hard especially to those who put their effort and their precious time and money into it and after all is worth it.
Example: if one group of ten volunteers help to build a bridge for ppls to cross over the river and then later these ppls who had crossed over the bridge realise that this bridge no longer can take more than 5 ppls to cross due to the bridge structure is going to give way so another five will have left out so do you think is a fair treat? if smart enough you should know who are the five ppls can cross over the river RC or PV? -

Nope. I doubt that it would happen as this is not the first year (nor the second nor third ....) that some PV failed to get a place in the schools they volunteered in.
The last time when there was a outcry years' back, many schools started to reduce the number of PV they accept.
Thing can changed, so i think MOE should think about parents so disappointed while doing so much in volunteering job, although is volunteering by themselves but they deserved to get a place. Imagine what will their children might think if their parents failed to secure a place while putting so much effort to do volunteering job? what kind of concept they will develop later on? this is something MOE need to change. -

My first choice is West Grove but i need to get a backup so i plan to consider Juying vs Corporation.
Understand that both are morning session. compare with my hse Corporation is nearer but the transport is out of range as no public bus transport is available. can anyone give some idea?
Is Juying better then Corporation, comparing with public transport & other?
Hi skyozone,
May i know what made you choosed West Grove primary school as your first choice rather than school near your house. -

Will make a comparison between these two school, thks xian kaiXingnan Primary has a very detail statistics breakdown of the recent PSLE results in their website. This information was useful to us when we will deciding between XN and WG. Seems other schools don't have such information display.
For those who are planning to enrol in XN, you may wish to take a look here -> http://www.xingnanpri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=52236
