I have an intriguing qn on number 5, when MOE says that \"Integrated Programme (IP) JCs and non-IP JCs are not compatible merger partners\", does it mean that 2 Integrated Programme (IP) JCs are compatible merger partners, since the programme both run by IPJCs are similar?

stetan (aka ryanryan and ethanethan as suspected by other forummers), jetsetter, grandypa (aka chip and dale or crester) ( most have suspected based on the bluntness and lousy english used and jetsetter confirmed last 2 are same person too) should retreat to their own sngs/chs pri-ejc and sngs-nyjc quarters. Stop barking around like mad dogs that will result in euthanasia being performed on you. -

P/s; just joking motherhen. i have nothing against you. pls note that our bashings are always reactions to others' provocations. if we don't retaliate, these incorrigible losers will think we can be easily pushed around. -

Let me explain then. First you wrote this:
BlurBlob,
I may be \"lowly educated\", but at least I still know what is 礼义廉耻
I prefix my post very clearly with these words \"Great post by jetsetter in the other thread\" . I am sure your eyesight cannot be worse than a old man's like me. Unless you are blind, I see no reason that you can avoid reading it.
If you are too lazy to locate the original post, please read here in this page

奉劝你一句, 写字时不要这样缺德, 尤其对老一辈, 否则会因果报应的.

I dislike people who use foul language and verbal insults. Next you posted that long msg from jetsetter without using any punctuation such as \" \" or colon to indicate which part was written by her. So I thought you were the one who wrote it. Yes, I do have old flowery eyes indeed.
So, you admit you are a man. A man must have 'du liang'. Don't be so calculative and niang. -

Grandypa, you must be a 'lowly educated oldie' that you can't even differentiate a cautionary advice with a curse. And most of all, you do not even know how to quote a third party's post properly. It seems more like you were the one who wrote it. As for your comment on 'grave enmity', you should direct it at the writer of the offensive post if you even have any conscience.
Wow. Do you need to curse jetsetter's 3rd generation? You are writing as though you have some 深仇大恨 with her. Over a JC merger?blurblob11:
I think you KBKB the loudest. Really a pot calling kettle black.
There are only a handful of jcs and it's the first time they are merging them so of course netizens can express their views in social media. You can't understand such simple logic?
Also, students of jc going age are more matured and smarter so they have stronger sentiments than when they were in pri or sec schools. You must have never experienced jc life right hence your nonsensical comments.
The way you 'suan' those people who don't have strong alumni or calling those jcs as' empty vessels too ashamed to fight' is really uncalled for. Your DC in EJC with COP 9 so what's there to ya-ya papaya? Aren't you afraid that your 3rd generation will get their retribution?
Like what someone mentioned, you are afraid of losing the new building for your kid and I know you feel very insecure that EJC COP is exactly the same as the affected AJC. Pathetic!!
Gosh. You are just behaving like a 泼妇骂街
I shall check with the ministry if gathering the alumni and stirring an uproar is a better alternative.
ps: Can you also provide the link to that post as it involves multiple parties being insulted esp at the last paragraph and they demand an apology from the writer; as also as proof to the authority for instigation. This is serious. Tks. -

jetsetter:
Can you enlighten me about MOE taking note of ksp criticisms? :evil:I'll be kaypoh one last time: MOE has taken note of the above criticisms. Hence this article on 31 Oct to bring justice to both current and new NYJC Ps!
http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/principal-philosophy-of-teachingput-kids-first
Didn't any of those parents read this? All diam diam?
How does it relate to that article?
Since when are Straits Times reporters under MOE?
I shall send an email to clarify with MOE whether it's true that whenever it detects doubts from public about the capability of a staff as compared to another more experienced one, it will treat it as 'criticism' and contact The Straits Times to interview his staff so as to generate favorable publicity. Is that what you mean, jetsetter?
Did anyone criticize the current principal such that justice must be brought?
I don't see how that article could bring justice to the new principal when the interview was focused on the current one? On the contrary, I feel that its content will only put more pressure on the new principal. -

People 'swear' already and yet you still deny. You must make NYJC so perfect 嘛?!Schedule is dead but teachers are alive.
As I have said earlier, no J1 in NYJC would have known his status of promotion. You may perhaps check you sources again. I really doubt your friend's boy is from NYJC. To show a source: http://nanyangjc.moe.edu.sg/parents/parents-link As you have also said, the release is after OP exams. This ensures NYJCians will be free from any worries about promos results. Indeed displaying the culture of care.candyfan:
The incident started when I asked my friend on Nov 1 if she had news about her boy's promo and she said 'they will know tomorrow'. Then she text me the results yesterday. This nyjc parent said that 'the pressure must be very great for this retainee'. I swear I didn't lie about this.
The pupils already knew their end of year exam results so for those at the borderline or knew they didn't meet the promo criteria will NOT be free of any worries.
Only if NYJC has not released the end of year exam results than it's truly showing culture of care.

Liangbrolovesoccer:
IMHO, nobody here states that the new principal should be revoked. He will be given a chance to assume his new post and prove himself. It's just that some of us will choose to avoid the unknown. You can't be sure that nothing will change.MOE also need to have new principals to fill the place as senior principals retire, this is regardless whether its a top school or a neighbouhood school. If they don't promote principals up then how many professionals can they spare from the HQ and the top schools? I guess you would agree that we won't want to see the situation where we pull retired principals back to work or to expect a new principal to know how to be a superintendent without experience rite? Principals are set to be progressively advanced.
Anyway, the principals are not alone, they are supported by vice-principals and senior-teachers which had dedicated decades into their profession. These people definitely know their stuff and know what a principal should focus on for the school.
So spare a thought for this poor new principal lah, he deserves the respect as an educator.
It's natural that people prefers not to rock the boat when everything is in place. Hence some feel apprehensive about the new appointment and think aloud.
Forums need balanced views and discussions but not 'sweet' talks.
(It's utterly uncouth of NYJC parent to lose control and call somebody names). :yikes: -

Ohmmm...historical figures are misleading...
mindays, your previous information about nyjc getting 65% distinctions for Project Work is not applicable now. Reliable sources have it that only 50-55% of pupils had gotten distinctions for 2015. But again, it wasn't officially announced and hence its reliability.
You understand the frustration of parents when every statistic needs to be dug from teachers?

By not sharing their stats freely, more people will need to turn up at the open house to get the info. It will look very popular and boost potential applicants' confidence? :siam:
