Generally I have the impression that more boys than girls have the potential to catch up and do better later in sec and tertiary even if they have lower T scores.

My son will be in JC2 next yr. Am planning an overseas family vacation next Dec after his A levels. Would like to know from experienced parents here whether there is any pre-enlistment activities required of our boys in Dec? Would the 2nd and 3rd week of Dec be an OK period to be away?
