Had a bad case of this which happened when there’s a change in sleeping position. It’s known as BPPV.


The world seemed to be spinning around me.

Anyone experienced it? Anyway to cure it naturally without just using giddiness medicine to suppress?

Should suggest less homwork for myopic children but increase it for non-myopic ones like Ichigokun as such children ,even when playing 10 hrs of computer games don't end up myopic. :evil: :evil:

would you be keen to go to this other thread on children's health whereby you can feedback on what you think can be done at a national level to improve children's eye health. People with high myopia are more susceptible to serious complications of the eye.

We are hoping that MOH and MOE can work together for something to be done in schools , like doing eye exercises every morning or other plausible actions, eg lighting..

If you have any suggestions that may help prevent or slow down the progression of myopia in children, you are always welcome to post any feedback.

Would appreciate if there is any more feedback. We are hoping that our survey can also prod the MOH, MOE to work hand-in-hand so that it’ll ensure our next generation will benefit if measures are taken at a national level, like in schools.

One suggestion I have is to equip all teachers with knowledge of eye relaxation exercises so the children can be taught.Then they can have a min or 2 to do it in class before the start of a period.

Any tips to share?? What did your parents do or not do? Or maybe it's in the genes? Your parents aren't bespectacled, I believe?

We want to know if there are any ways that have not been explored which can prevent myopia.


Maybe parents whose children are not \"four-eyed\" can share some tips here? What are the things that you have done? I have heard of children who read alot in dim light even, or others who are always glued to the computer having perfect vision. :? :scratchhead:

I’m helping to do a survey and gather feedback on myopia in children. As it is known, Singapore has one of the highest myopia rates in Singapore. What do you think is the most probable cause? Is the MOH dispensing correct or sufficient advice? Or are they wrong in prescribing the use of lens at the first instant when myopia is detected?

Do you know of ways where myopia can be prevented other than the usual info we already know?

I have read that some feel the school’s environment plays a part in it as in the use of transparency and whiteboards.

Any interesting or "unusual" advice that you have heard that can contribute to the prevention of myopia. Or what do you think the schools or MOH can do to help stem this problem?
