During my time in the 80's, just have to memorize and regurgitate, so easy in that sense. First time when i looked at my boy's sec1 history, i was lost for words. So for source based questions, answers should have the following:

      Point
      Inference
      Evidence

Am I on the right track?

From my memory its Points inferred from sources + evidence. An extra inference might be needed to conclude your points if the question is broad (like the last or last 2 questions with more marks).

I thought it's like if the question is worth 4 or 5 marks or more, you need to give 2 inferences + 2 evidences? :lightrod:

Original Title: Pr 5 Maths and Science

      Hi all,

My son is in Pr 5 this year and he scored only 60 plus for science and maths. He has maths tuition but not for science.

Can anyone please share views as to how i can help him improve his marks. PSLE is not far away and i am horrified!

Oh don't worry šŸ˜„ , I had Science tuition but scored a B (ahem! ahem!) for PSLE Science. :gloomy: :gloomy: :gloomy:

Anyway good luck for his PSLE next year! šŸ•ŗ

      Tazyspin:
My daughter has always been weak in her Math since Pri 1. However, she has improved a lot since this year...She has just finished her CA2 and her results came back as failed...again.

The concern we have is she always seems not to do well during exam. But when she brings the paper back and she does her own correction, she gets them all correct. We are very puzzled.

We felt it could be lack of confidence during her exam or is there something we are missing out?

Can anyone share with us our concern??

      mum

I don't know what to say, but... I think for Maths you can only practice, practice and practice. šŸ˜„ Do assessment books and check the answers immediately. That's all!! :hi5:
