Somebody::lol:  true...I thought there's something in the morning?? I guess not...BTW. what's the popular CCA group there? My DS saw the lion dance photos on their school website, and he's really keen? :roll:No, it doesn't work that way. Think about it, they go to school at 1 P.M., ends at 6 P.M., it'd be night time if they took CCA(s). Because, none of the CCA can be done. Band? It'd need alot of light. The band room is huge, mind you.
Gardening? OH NO IT' A MOTH!

As in sharing the same passion for certain things like animals or nature, that sort. My daughter will talk much about her friends and teachers so that's a good sign that she's enjoying. And yes, 1H's form teacher is Mdm Soh.
Hello jce!
Tks for your advice previously. Great to know your DD is in Pei Chun...my DS will be going in next year... BTW, does your DD take part in any CCA yet? I know it's not compulsory but heard that in some schools they do allow the lower Pri students to join in some of their CCA groups. -

Hihi!
Hi Rosemary ... Wondering if you had received it but my girl brought home the newsletter - Assessment Matters ( Primary 1) recently regarding the Modular Assessments (MA) instead of SA1 exam for Primary 1. They have move on to 4 bite sized topical modular assessments. It includes dates for 4 separate MA on 3 main subjects.Rosmary:
Hi,
Anyone knows is there any SA1 exam for Primary one this year ? I asked my girl's form teacher but was asked to wait for parent notification instead.
Regards
Does this mean that there will not be any mid-year and final year exams for P1 & P2! When is the 1st MA scheduled to be? Can you update us later? How's the new Principal?
Tks -

Herbie:
Hi Herbie!I have been a SAHM for only abt 2 weeks and I find myself quite \"useless\" cos my intent was to coach my DS for his PSLE but I did not manage to do any revision with him.
Y? He is dragging his feet completing his homework daily so dun have time to do anything else..
I feel so depressed....
Don't be too hard on yourself... You are still trying to find the right momentum for your new found role...and your DS is also trying to adjust to having you at home now. Maybe just focus on helping with his homework first and really talk to him to understand what needs to be done? Chins Up!! -

2ppaamm:
:siam:O, time I introduce myself also.
I'm working full-time. However, I work from home a lot, 80% of the time. I have 5 kids, ranging from 6 to 15 years old. Fun but tiring!
I agree it is hard to find the perfect job, especially if we want to watch our children grow and still manage a satisfying career. But I guess we just have to keep searching...
I work to keep sane, otherwise, I believe I will end up a child-abuser. The noise level will drive me mad. Out of the house with the kids in the morning, and back before they reach home, so they won't miss me, I guess. Only problem is when the school has got emergencies. For my case, quite often given my 4th child is a special needs one.
I don't have a maid, so I'm also the maid and driver. Ha ha... have adapted to this already!
Hihi 2ppaamm!
Guess you are a great multi-tasker too.... :celebrate:
Child abuser....
, I know what you mean when the kids drive you crazy by testing their boundaries... :x  But after getting angry with them don't their hugs and \"I love you mummy\", simply melts you?? :ugogirl:

Welcome to our forum!
Tks! amylqf....another new found fren who took time to say hi & welcome. -
RE: Newbie Cbreeze
tankee:
it is due to a design flaw of this forum software. Both the new and old avatar files have the same name, thus the IE will display the old file from its cache (temporary files). You can do a clear temporary files in your IE and you will see the new picture. Other users will gradually see your new picture once the caching expires.
OIC.....Tks for the explanation...I've just done the deletion as you have so kindly explained and see how later...
cheers  -

:!: so emotional

Yes, have been SAHM for 2 years now and during this time was 'isolated' in a sense. So that is why the welcome from new found friends is a bonus.
BTW, can you or anybody here tell me what should I do to upload a picture or icon like most you & the rest? I actually selected one picture than decided to delete it and upload another jpeg file but the 'old' one kept appearing altho' the page confirmed that 'the changes have been completed'?? :?
