The rules are very simple, and not any different from most other forums. Simply put, there must be no soliciting for business outside of the Buy and Sell Forums.
- If you repeatedly post commercial emails outside of the Buy and Sell Forums, your account will be banned.
- If you post the same message across multiple subforums, this is considered as spam. Your account will be immediately banned.
- If you have one-off events you can post it in the Happenings subforum, but if you post normal schedules in the Happenings subforum, you will be banned.
What constitutes \"commercial\" posts?
- Posting of your contact information, ie. email addresses, web addresses, telephone numbers inviting others to contact you for business.
As for regular members, please do NOT post requests for tutors in our main forums. Post them in the Help Wanted subforums instead. That will save our moderators a lot of time moving those posts for you.
I didn't know this but I think it is good to have guidelines for forums.
Is there a place where this is told to people when they sign up? Just a thought because I didn't realise it until i was browsing through the different topics on the forum. -
RE: All About Polytechnics
Is there an advantage if they go straight to Lasalle / NAFA vs they go to Poly / JC first?
A friend of mine told me if you go straight it is better because the students don’t need as much time to adjust to the culture of the school because it is different from the typical Singapore education system. True? Anyone have any experience? -

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
Looking to hire a maid. Does anyone have advise on which nationality is better?
Does the nationality make a difference in the amount you pay? -
RE: Do your kids play online game?
Does anyone think that kids play games because it is a way to fit in? Both my kids play games quite frequently although my girl does more of the iPhone games and has more discipline. My boy is starting to do too much and I am hesitant to ban him because it seems like that is his common topic with his friends.

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
I am a bit unsure about maids. My mother used to tell me the quality of maids has dropped because now they are all "siaw gin-na" - all they think about is boys and they cannot be alone because they feel lonely. So she always said should get the older ones… But that is not easy to find.
I remember when I was very young my maid used to be very good - she would really make sure i have manners. When I misbehaved, she used to say "Celia Chan Siew Peng, you better say sorry to your brother." Nowadays, my maid just let the kids have whatever they want and sometimes they even cause more trouble.
But then again… very hard to live without a maid… -

Was playing 'Charades' (the iPhone game) with my 11yo brother once. The word he had to guess was 'Brownie'.
My clue: \"Before you become a Girl Scout, you are a...?\"
His reply: \"Boy Scout?\"
