RE: Admiralty Secondary School
TWU:
Good afternoon coolbaby,coolbaby:
Thanks TWU for sharing about the 2 schools. My ds1 is in WRSS. And it’s my ds2 turns to choose his sch now.
I hv no doubt about WRSS. I would like to find out more about ADSS. Sadly we missed the open house.
May I know are they strict in disciplining? Students behaviour esp when they are outside the school?
How’s the teachers? Are they caring and approachable ?
What’s the school hours?
My apologies for so many questions.
Thanks in advance!
You’re most welcome
Principal, Vice-Principals and teachers of ADSS are approachable, caring and dedicated.
ADSS has very strict discipline. Parents and teachers work closely. Parents will be invited to have discussions with teachers not only about academic results as well as to discuss about well being/good character building of their children.
PSG is very active and supportive, has arranged various parent-child bonding activities, visits to post-secondary educational institutions eg ITE, JC, Polytechnic (with provision of 2-way transportation) in order to enable parents including parents of S1 students to have good understanding about post secondary education (school has arranged its students to visit the said educational institutions too and to invite representatives of JC to give talk at school).
I have seen students are doing well and parents appreciate support from school (originally, some parents hesitated to choose ADSS as its Low COP as parents tend to base on COP and behaviour of some students to judge a school, some of their friends gave them hearsay information). Recently, they have shared with me their children are happy with the school and they are surprised about the support and opportunities given to the students. Most important, it’s totally different from they have heard about the school.
Students are to reach schools no later than 7.25 am (except for a day, to report by 8 am) and lessons of all levels end by 3 pm (12.40 pm on Friday).
Students are well mannered. I seldom see its students wander at nearby shopping mall (previously, some lower secondary students played after school at nearby residential area, school took immediate action to stop students and educated them).
ADSS emphasizes on good character building and has own customised Character and Citizenship education which is part of its curricula.
hi, as your stated the ADSS lessons of all levels end by 3 pm, how about their CCA ? when will it mostly ends by ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.celinn:
can anyone helps?
Mr Lim paid $8 for 3 folks and 2 spoons.
he paid $6 for 2 similar forks and 2 similar spoons.
How much would he pay for 2 such forks?
1 unit is 1 fork and 1 spoon
2 unit + fork is $8
2unit is $6
The above can be translated into model drawing.
8 - 6 = 2
1 fork costs $2
2 x 2 = 4
2 forks cost $4 -
