CentralControl:last year was held at RI, this year at SCGSso what is Model United Nations program all about ?

Just wondering, for top schools like RGS & Nanyang, they only offer IP program to PSLE students.So these students will be transferred to RJC to do A level ?

JHFMum:turquoise:SJI International offers the International Baccalaureate, SJI doesn't. ACS Indep takes in stronger students, especially those in their IB programme. Students at ACS International generally aren't as strong academically as ACS Indep students. You have to have pretty deep pockets to go to the international schools. I think annual school fees are about $20K.The International schs, I heard, are much more laxed in discipline, rigour as compared to the indept counterpart. Also, find out abt the quality of teachers- not all are trained teachers. I've known of parents who took the kids out after 2 yrs and need to look for a nhd sch to take their kids in.When you said trained teachers, are you referring to MOE trained? I know not all NUSH teachers are MOE trained though. Some could be already teachers in their home country.

Textbooks give you all the information and present them systematically in detail. Guidebooks give you some tips and skills in answering exam questions, also included how you study.

sunflower:mathsparks:it's more a stereotype than truth regarding hci boys speaking chinese. When i was at the open house, so many of the boys were speaking english.I agree. The Chinese speaking ones were in the bygone years...The new generation are speaking a lot more in English. And in fact, we don't speak chinese among our peers at all. We aren't reserved or anything as well, we're full of programmes ready to fly you off to other countries.
