      Zippysunflower:
      Hi,

I have a part-time domestic helper. She has some slots available from 13 Oct onwards.

She is a Chinese Malaysian, holding Singapore citizenship. I find her very hardworking, reliable, her work is of a good standard and she is not petty over exceeding the timing, thus am helping her with this posting. Her rates are $15 per hour and a works for a block of 4 hours each time. If you are interested, you can pm me your contact no.

      Good day!

Hi can pm her contact ?

      twilight:
There's really no other way around it. Or at least, not that I know of. SBQ for SS cannot be studied. It's more of a skill based question but for SEQ, no choice, you really have to memorise the examples at least. Maybe you can write the essay and links on the spot, but you definitely will need to quote examples. I personally find it easier to memorise model essays and just vomit everything out during exams as there really isn't much time to be thinking on the spot.

I don't use reference books for SS since my school gives ample worksheet and notes but for GE, the reference book by Marshall Cavendish is quite good. There are many examples inside that are not mentioned in the textbook, and also some additional points. Otherwise usually textbook is sufficient. Not sure what's the name though.

      Tks.

      LOLMum:

dd is so up to her neck with her various school projects.

her one week holiday was spent mostly on her projects and i got to dragged her out of hte house.

i dont think she has time to revise her work.

anyway, with the current workload + cca, i really cant find any free slot for more tuition. she is just doing english and chinese and i think i might need to stop one cos she really needs 25 hr each day.

i cant even buy her any assessment books.

what about your sec 1 kid? is he/she up to her neck with school project and has no time for tuition/revision. are the weekends burnt?

      :x :x :x

My ds also has quite a few projects and homework, but not up to the neck yet. So far he has 2 days of cca but weekends generally free. So far, weekends, he has violin lessons. He has even taken up swimming on his own and will start science tuition soon. In the weekdays evenings, he may take out his assessment books to do some. So generally, life is still good.

Hi! can pm me the science tuition's result so far? In fact Im looking for pure chem & Bio as my dd is not so strong in it.

My dd who will be sec 3 next yr had chosen Biology and Chemistry and one humanities as her school does not hv double humanities. Heard that without Physics will be lesser choice in JC. Is that so, what are the avaiable courses in JC or poly? Pls advise. Thanks.

Most of the science students in JCs will be taking 2 sciences. I don't think not taking Physics will mean less choice. Of course, your dd cannot take H2 physics since she does not have O level physics.
The subject combination that she can take in JC (science stream) could be
Chem, bio, Maths and 1 humanities
Math, chem, and 2 humanities etc.

It may be useful for her to check out if physics is a pre-requisite for her desired course in the university and so whether she should be taking physics instead of biology as one of her sciences.
You can refer to this link for NUS.
