    • RE: Living with Depression

Just wanna say that as someone with depression and who’s been on medication for a few years, that being depressed and having depression is very different.

Depression can manifest in diff ways. I first realised something was wrong when I became highly irritable at even the smallest thing and things that used to give me joy no longer did. Things improved after going on medication, but I still occasionally relapsed. When in a relapse, it manifested in feelings of despair and worthlessness.

Psychotherapy (talk therapy) is also worth considering if one is depressed 🙂

    • RE: Europe Trip

      clioclio:
wta: anyone brought toddler 2.5yrs to europe before? How can we help prepare toddler for jetlag? I guess in the day time he can sleep in stroller or carrier I'm just worried at night while we r trying to sleep he will be awake as it will probably be daytime in sg time?

My twins were 3 when we flew to Europe. Wasn’t too bad actually. Try to encourage a long stretch of sleep on plane, so that will be more energetic when get there. Stroller was handy to catch up on sleep too. IMO kids adjust well to time diff fr singapore to Europe. It’s the trip home that usually takes more adjusting.

    • RE: Do you wear your wedding ring?

I took them off when I got pregnant and finger swelled too much to fit and never got back into the habit of wearing them again. Even though my youngest is now 4 😂

    • RE: All About Teaching Values

      Joanne25:
The way children learn values, simply put, is by observing what you do, and drawing conclusions about what you think is important in life. Regardless of what you consciously teach them, your children will emerge from childhood with clear views on what their parents really value, and with a well developed value system of their own.

Agreed! I think the best way to teach values is for parents themselves to live it out.

    • RE: Motivation for studies

Motivation is something I struggle with for my eldest too. Specifically how to get him self motivated. After all I can’t poss be pushing him all the way. I thought this book was interesting, although have to confess I only finished reading chapter 1 so far 😂

    • RE: Travel : Vietnam - Hanoi & the North

All these pics look amazing but nothing like what I saw when I went Hanoi last month haha. Maybe coz I stuck to city central? The things that stood out for me was the lack of traffic lights and scooters ALL over the place 😓
