Need advice on the following schools (staying at cck) :
Dunearn secondary
Jurongville secondary
Westwood secondary

Jurongville & Westwood seem to have more interesting cca(s) as compared to Dunearn. I’m looking for culture, teachers & students behavior factors as my child is very easily influenced. However, I also understand that cca is a plus factor in their sec school journey, hence appreciate any opinions offered. Thanks.

Do take note for DSA CCA. If you are going for O level track, ensure that the CCA your DC is going to commit for the 4 years is one that can yield the 2 bonus pt for admission to JC & poly.


The new criteria for obtaining the max 2 bonus pts, LEAPS 2.0 system, is more challenging in the sense that there are 4 domains: participation, achievement, leadership and service. One needs to attain a minimum level 3 in all 4 domains with at least a L4 in one domain.

IMHO, uniform group can best achieve the criteria whereas for eg, choir, chances of being a leader will be slim and she may have to look elsewhere to assume and fulfill this criteria.

Why do u hv to wait till Phase 3? Isn't it u can apply it in next phase ? Phase 2C Supp? I thought phase 3 is only for those neither singaporean nor PR ?

P2Cs is still for singaporean/PR, for those who don't get a seat during ballot in P2C.. foreigners who are neither citizens nor PR will need to go for P3 & it will be a first-come first-served basis.
