    • RE: Nanyang Primary

my son just started P1 this year, seems very relaxed, not much homework, tests are fairly reasonable, lots of free time, nothing like what people been telling me about NYPS.

when does it start to get heavy going?

      Hhazell:
Yes I'm within 1km. Nyps is less than 300m from my place. What I mean is other than rgps within my 1km-2km radius (which my Son can't possibly enter). There is no other schools is within my 2km. So what are the chances of me getting a school for 2Cs nearby if I failed to get in nyps?

New town primary school. But just saw viral video of big malay boy bullying small malay boy. or Queenstown primary school. these two confirm ok for 2Cs.

Bukit Timah primary is the phase 2CS school of choice for those who cannot get into NYPS or Henry Park at phase 2C luck draw though, so kids are mostly from good families. 2019 is dragon year so might be more competitive...

      all schools are good schools.

Out of curiosity , the balloting is computer ballot, or lucky draw box style? If the latter, do parents go fish out a number, or do principal or someone fish out the lucky winners? How Long does the process take?

My kid now in k2 registering p1 this year, now can do simple addition and struggle with substraction. Don’t think "digit" is in his vocabulary. Can anyone recommend a primary school that is suitable for him?

    • RE: Legoland Malaysia

Thanks peeps. I guess my other option is to go kitty and big little on Sunday, legoland Monday and water park tues, stretching the checkout time on tues.

Is Sundays still crowded? I am banking on school exams in Sg, work day in JB, and not yet golden week in china… But hotel seems fairly booked…

    • RE: Husband drinks & stays out late - Does yours?

Feeling very demoralized … Started this thread 2 years ago and hb hasn’t changed one bit. Two weeks ago, he was out drinking till 1-2am for 3 workdays and I really got fuming mad. I’ve been keeping silent about his late night drinks and the fact that he doesn’t bother to come home early to play/talk to the kids or check on their school work really makes me wonder why is he so bo chap about the family. Very sian. We’ve been on Cold War for two weeks now and I’m almost positive he doesn’t feel like he’s done anything wrong :(

Last night he wasn’t home when I went to bed with the kids (not sure what time he came home) and today being Friday, he’s obviously not home at this hour. Gosh, how can a dad not want to come home to keep us company or spend time with us. Are the drinks with the pals really so meaningful?

Should I continue this cold war? Even if we talked (which I remember previous conversation where he said "I just like to drink!", I’m not sure what positive outcome will come up. When will I ever see the light at the end of the tunnel?

AC, when was the time you went out for a drink?
