can anyone explain to me how to read the app / tur? as in the table of analysis coz till now i still quite confused n not sure how to read it

APP means number of applicants over total vacancy available in that particular phase
180% would mean 1.8 applicants per vacancy

TUR is total take up rate until that particular phase. total intake 300. say 2B TUR Is 80% - 240 spots are taken.

What I don’t understand is say for NYPS, why 35 or more SC parents (all < 1 km) are willing to risk balloting for 20 places in Phase 2C, when if you miss it, that’s it. The options left in 2CS are far removed from your first choice of NYPS and the chance of a future transfer is so small. Under what logic would one still go for balloting with such odds and consequences?

to some, it like winning a lottery worth of 1k, y not? worth a try, if everyone tot of dun risk then those who willing to stay on will have beta chance...if they do not have any link to any other choice that they deem is good, they already got noting to lose so why not get a chance to win?

I will aso go for nan chiau as at least 50 over ballot chance to get is quite high unless u so unlucky…

1. West Spring Pri
2. Zenghua Pri
3. Greenridge Pri
4. Southview Pri

and within 2km from
1. Bukit Panjang Pri
2. CHIJ OLQP

we are Singapore Citizens and only eligible under Phase 2C for our daughter.

Looking at the TUR of all these schools, South View seems sure for Balloting. We need your help to choose between West Spring Pri and Bukit Panjang Pri.

Your advice is highly appreciated.

I will monitor to check hw many apply is within 1km and may risk for south view if not more than 20 within 1km else will pick bpps but aso will check for chances tat enter ballot for more than 2km…
Lastly will try for zhenghua / greenridge instead of west spring coz alot bto near west spring so chances may affected too…

depend on sch like nanhua, they directly post in their website…thou is after each closing session like after 1130am or 430pm…so i guess if call their sch or go to their sch sure have these # and they will disclose…
