Hi Wee91, we drove from Gold Coast to the Glow worm cave on our own (with GPS of course) and it wasn't difficult... U can just show up and there are regular Glow worm tour. We reached there late morning and did not have to wait long for the next tour.
HI fav_giraffe,
Could u advise which glow worms tour this is? We'd like to do a self drive there ourselves too. It's a cave? So we can do the tour in daytime too, like u did? How long will the tour take?
Many thanks!!! -

Hi ScaredyMum,
Can I have e contact for the car rental company too? My family will be traveling to GC in Nov/Dec. There are 5 of us. Don't know if it's more cost effective to take bus (read that it's public transport is not that cheap also) or just rent a car.
Thanks!! -
RE: Dunman High School (Junior High)
My daughter wants to drop TRP next year. She’s in Year 1 this year. I’d like to check with fellow parents, is TRP important? What are the consequences of dropping TRP? My daughter is citing lack of interest and busy schedule as reasons to drop this subject. She currently does 3rd language, has CO as her CCA, and does ballet twice a week.
Would appreciate some advice on this. Thank you! -
RE: St Hilda's Primary
Hi mom need advice,
But given that Tao Nan is also a highly sought after school and is nearer to where u live compared to St Hilda’s, may I ask why u are considering the transfer? -

RE: 2014 Request for Advice on Selecting Secondary Schools
hcthct:
The ying-yang sign on the school badge was actually created when SCGS first started to attract the Taoist families in the past to send their daughters to SCGS as at that time, only males had education while females were expected to stay at home and learn cooking, sewing and such. To preserve the school's history, this ying-yang sign was kept as a part of the school badge. Although SCGS has a peranakan history, there is no religion whatsoever and despite the school being called Singapore Chinese Girls' School, the school focuses a lot on English and Literature as well

~SCGS student hehehe (my daughter)
Thank you for the detailed information! Really appreciate it! -
RE: 2014 Request for Advice on Selecting Secondary Schools
Hi,
I would like to ask if the school has religious affiliations as there is a "yin-yang" symbol on the school badge?
