    • RE: Pigmentation on face

      Hi KimKhloe,

I did one session only, not sure if it comes back, but now its not as good as when i first did the laser.

Well, its not so painful actually, you can just go ahead and do it if you feel like it can bring up your confidence. For me, i think it's worth every cent. As i had very low confidence before due to this pigment right on my face, it's a dark big black circle, only people with pigmentation can understand what i meant i guess lol

I think any Dermatologist is capable of doing this, it looks simple (or maybe not lol), he just used the laser machine \"poke\" my face like 5 mins i think? then it's done. The nurses will apply the numbing cream for you one hour before, so dont worry, cant really feel the pain until the numbing cream is gone lol

      Hi Coachy,
Did you treat your pigmentation in 1 session only and has it come back?
I read your review, and I am thinking between seeing your doctor vs seeing Dr Daniel Chang for my pigmentation.
Has anyone done lasers with Dr Daniel Chang before? I came across his pigmentation blog which I found rather educational.

I did a google search and found some pretty good reviews online. But I havent done lasers before so I am quite anxious. Any advice would be helpful!

Hi 500+ is for one session only. It's a lot better now, not a 100% clear, but im happy with it, now i can apply a light make up and easily cover it. send me a pm if you are interested, i will share with you my before and after photos, so paiseh to put it in the net, where everyone can search lol

It depends on yourself, if you want completely no more pigmentation at all, i think you need to do 2 to 3 times. Mine, obviously is the stubborn type, so probably i'll have to do one more time.

I heard from Dr Foo, if the pigmentation is due to child birth, you dont need to do laser, you can just apply the cream from his clinic (which i think should be cheaper than laser). Im not a Dr its better to seek Dr's opinion though 🙂

      Hi Coachy

May I know the S$500++ is for how many sessions of laser that Dr Foo do for you? So now your face is totally clear and no dark spots at all?

I have been thinking of going to do remove my dark spots on face which came about after child birth *Faint*

I dont think its due to genes, none of my family has it. I had it when i was in my 20s, i didnt apply sun block when i went out under the sun, feeling so silly now. Then i spent so much money at the salon and even did the IPL. Nothing's ever worked.

Anyway, I finally went to Dr Chris Foo and did the laser. (total cost a bout $500+) I feel so good now without having to see the dark patch on my face. Its actually very mild pain when he did the laser for me (last only a few seconds). Then it became a dark scab and fell off bit by bit after 10 days. Now my face is having no pigment. i feel so \"clean\" 🙂 Feeling so dumb having spent so much money in the salon to do all the pigmentation removal and stuff like that.

He did mention it might come back though. But I just need to be very careful, and apply sun block if i need to go out.

      Hi SBShortcake

I visited Dr Christopher Foo last year and was thinking of doing the laser to remove the pigmentation on my upper cheek. But i was pregnant so i couldnt do it. Im thinking of going there beginning of Dec. May i know after the treatment, how many days do we need to stay indoor to avoid the sun light? also, can you ask your aunt if the dark mark is huge and dark? it's festive season coming, we might need to go out, but if i dont go, then i'll have to wait till after CNY because i dont wanna have the dark mark on my face during CNY, sigh, dilemma!

Oh also, about the cost, last year he quoted me around $600/ treatment, how much did you and your aunt spend and where did you do it? thank you.

      SBShortcake:
Hi, my aunty did for a year and it has not come back. Personally for me, I did freckles and it did not come back too. But got to take precaution and apply sunscreen diligently. Think what we did was laser for pigmentation, CO2 or something. Can't remember the exact name. I chose a consultant instead of snr consultant to reduce cost and also cos this is quite straight-forward and don't require an expert to do it.

    • RE: Pigmentation on face

Hi, i visited Dr Chris Foo (Raffles hospital) and he said my pigmentation is not melasma (which can be treated by cream), my pigmentation has to be treated by Nd:yag laser. Has anyone done this through Dr Foo or other Doctors before? is it effective because he said it’s not guaranteed because everyone’s skin condition is different, it’s quite expensive, about $600 plus per treatment. Thanks in advance.
