I read from the Straits Times (4 Mar 2014) for the ‘A’ Levels results:
1) Hwa Chong Institution - >60% scored at least 3 A in H2.
2) Raffles Institution - >67% scored at least 3 A in H2, 4 had 9 distinctions.
3) River Valley School - >16% (or exactly 68/415) scored at least 6 A.
Not really apple-to-apple comparison to DHS since the DHS published results showed number of distinctions instead.
Anyone with more info or comments kindly add on.
Cheers to all the 2013 DHS graduates for doing well in their A Levels! And not forgetting all the parents and guardians for their unwavering support given to their child/ward. Hip hip hooray!!!

Thks mum_sugoku for the sharing on pocket money. I was also thinking around that sum as well now that my dd has to spend many hours and long days at dhs...cocoon1:
For orientation, apart from wed dinner, will other meals be provided for (e.g. lunch and tea breaks)?
I've been giving my ds $5 a day and he said it's quite adequate
Anyone can share what cca dhs is good at? At least it makes \"shopping\" for cca during the exhibition easier. My dd was in Red Cross before and enjoyed it very much. But she's having 2nd tots on St. John's in dhs as she might want to try something different. -

Thks for the information! Yes, I recall the kids need to bring $10 on Monday but wasn't quite sure what it entails.cocoon1:

Guess not... Cause need to pay $10 on Monday which cover for the team T-shirt, badge n dinner... They didn't mention about lunch.
Is there a posting or advice on how much pocket money to give my DD each day? Not too sure of the food and beverage prices in DHS canteen. My DD loves food like we do in the family.

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and have been trying hard to "digest" the past postings here… There’s lots to read in here. I am a father and my DD will be attending year 1 in DHS starting 2014…
FYI, the year 1 class postings is already out. Do go to DHS website to check it out.
Cheers!
