Same for RJC. 1/3 from RI, 1/3 from RGS and 1/3 from JAE intake.

Hi,
For VJ, IP is 2/5 JAE is 3/5, the IP side is 50/50 btw VS and Cedar.

For NJC, about IP 1/3 JAE 2/3; their IP students is the minority once they reach senior high (JC).

HCI should be similar to RJC.
Can see amongst IP JCs, EJC has biggest no. of IPs students currently. No wonder its JAE feel like minority.

But why NJC IPs is a minority in senior high(JC)?
Drop out?

College Mgt shd tackle the disparity culture between IP n JAE now as its an issue brewing. Some JAE kids re feeling it.

Oh wow, so what my friend told me about her JAE child in Eunoia is not an isolated case. And it seems like the teachers are acknowledging this problem during the parent - teacher meet that they had recently.

We forsee such issue happen'g wif big cohort fr 3 IP secs esp de diff cultures between scgs and ch/sngs.
Many closed cliques aldy rootly formed, leaving JAE kids out.
Not so sociable JAE ones feel no sense of belonging.😞
Jc environment is 1 factor to consider when choosing a JC.
Ofc, if just go in to study n dm cant fit into Ejc culture, its k to go Ejc.

Can you elaborate what you mean about disparity culture? How are the JAE kids feeling it? Isn’t it the same in all IP schools for JAE kids? Or for the matter of fact, affiliated schools like ACJC and SAJC?

Extracted from Reddit:
\"During the J1 orientation period, it extremely hard to mix in with the JIP students there, as they already are together with their OG (orientation group) for the past month. There were instances where they tried mixing in the JAE with the JIP students, but there was certainly still a barrier between IP n JAE.
If you are coming from JAE, expect the fight for leadership positions in school to be tougher as compared to other JCs, as the JIP has a higher advantage (reputation was already built up in secondary and OG period).
But overall, students here are quite friendly.\"

Can I assume this is throughout all IP JCs?
Idk.
Sajc only hv abt 23-25% feeder cohort.
I can totally understand why the better students (in terms of O Level results) would not want to choose EJC in the last 2/3 years. Given all the good choices that they can have, why pick a JC that’s in an interim location, out of the way and very much outdated / worn down?

Hence, EJC has probably the widest gap in terms of academic ability between the IP and OP students among all the IP JCs. Results not being as great is hardly a surprised. With the new campus, and being closer to CHS and SNGS, two of the constituent schools, expect big things to come from EJC.

Its bigger 67% IPs feeder cohort vs its 33% JAE cohort, yet 2018 results were not as great.
Unless was 67% JAE at that time then its understandable.
Flaw in teaching depts, maybe.

When you say “not as great”, you probably may want to explain what is “not as great” or what is considered \"great” to you. As far as the published results had shown, which Esteema had done a comparison, EJC is producing the results that it is expected to produce.

Actually... if we take your EJC cohort breakdown at face value, EJC result is actually damned impressive. Considering that 33% of the cohort are from JAE (2017 intake COP 11/10), it’s average UAS of 82.4 is actually outperforming their expectation when you compared it to other JCs such as VJC average of 83.7 (IP and COP 8/6) and NYJC median of 84.4 (COP 8/7).
Dude,
My words 'results not as great' was taken from wat u said abt Ejc results 👉\"Results not being as great is hardly a surprised.\" LOL
👉\"if we take your EJC cohort breakdown at face value\"- goggle ST news Ejc news dated 14/1/2017, u see 67% fr IP feeder.

Wif only 33% JAE, wats de initial predicated expectation from these 9 pointers JAE cohort that dude you said UAS 82.4 is damned impressive?
9 pointers is not bad score.

Vjc n Nyjc results re better than Ejc.
Fyi, Nyjc medium isnt 84.4, its med above 85.
Its Njc med 84.4.

Hi,

My son received CO by CHS for IP. He will be attending Eunoia JC in his year5&6.

Would like to ask parents to share experience whom kids attended or currently attending EJC.

Thanks in advance.
Ejc last year A level result was not impressive- Science result didnt churn out as good even with bulk from IP kids of CH, SNG, SCGS.

RP is only ~82 point which is 2nd last among the IP JCs and lagging behind non IP JC.
Better to be in CH OP which has high std then excel, then do A level in RI, HCI or other better JCs.

Also, theres a disparity culture bet JAE n IP students inside.
If u not from IP, some JAEs will take a while to mix n no sense of belonging.

Hmm, I have always had the view that for longer term planning for better students would be OP in tier 2 boys' schools like CHS. At least if you do well in O Levels, u r not stuck with tier 2 or 3 JCs like Eunoia JC. There is still chance to do A Levels at RI, HCI or VJC.

VJC results dropped these 2-3 years.
