May I know other than streaming students at the end of P2, how abt end of P3, P4, P5?

Any diff between the best 5 classes vs 3H/3I in terms of syallbus or subjects?
woo...a class of 40+ is huge! How big is a class in P4 to P6?
How can same teacher in P3 as in P1,P2 esp if there is streaming? By luck?

Hi nonKiasu, I heard from another mummy, previously, every year there were always a handful of students moving \"up\" or \"down\" the classes based on performance (maybe) or other considerations. But this year, the policy seems to undergo some changes. What exactly is the new norm, I have no idea either.

Thanks, ululu. Looks like it's up to the principle to decide n change policy n we will know when times come. Just like they just informed us that next yr, P3 will be in the afternoon n we just have to accept it. So, past practise is not impt anymore...not in this sch.
Hi NonKiasu, where did you get this info from? School website did not state that P3 be in the noon session next yr:S

Sure, will post here again if I heard anything.
yeah we are also getting tired chasing them to complete their homework… so i reminded her, you are responsible for your own work… you are facing your teachers, not me:S

      nonKiasu,
so your kid also with class 2E. btw, sch website stated form teacher for class 2E is Mrs Joan, whereas according to my kid is Ms Khan.... :S

Ya, I also curious. At first, wanted to know how Ms Khan looks like but find the website diff name n photo. So called the office. The office said Mrs Joan is on maternity leave and coming back soon, this mth. Ms Khan is only a relief teacher. The sch should have just inform parents instead of making us go and find out.

oh thanks. the problem is the notice they gave out to the parents did not indicate Ms Khan as relief teacher:S

Did the teacher inform? Mine are getting lazy and don’t write handbook anymore. When asked them, they act smart saying they use memory but yet all forgotten. Then all homework piled up last week and they have to spent the whole weekend clearing backlog. I hope that is a good lesson for them and I can be more n more hands off in future. But still need to keep reminding them that they own the homework and not me!

Is it a norm? My son in 2D n he does nor seem to know when are the weekly Chinese tests. Maybe he is blur haha.

Hi, Gabby. P2 just had their 1st Word Recognition Test last Thur. I got the test paper back yesterday. U haven't got yours back?
I was told that going forward, this test is fornightly instead of weekly like in P1. So, each test will test the whole unit instead of half unit like in P1. So, if correct, the next test is 16 Feb and is on lesson 6 to 10.

      Hi, Gabby.

      Correction....
Somehow, yesterday, 2E tested lesson 6 n 7 which I am not aware of either. Heard from other parent that this Thurs will test on lesson 8.
As for 2H, this thurs test lesson 6 n 7, after I called to ask the teacher.
Seems like diff class has diff schedule. So, u may have to call the teacher as well.
nonKiasu,

i think different class has got different schedules for the wkly test. for class 2E, they will have test every now and then after 1 or more chapters... teachers will inform on friday for next wk's test. for this wk, there are 2 test for 2 chapters and 1 chapter respectively:S

normally i dun check her bag, i wan her to be responsible for her own work, but at times a check with her can really surprise me:S
