Hi, anybody has attended the orientation day at Compassvale previous years? I’ve registered my daughter there this year however we’re not in Spore on the Day. Can you tell with me what do they share on their orientation day (school tour/book sale/uniform sale/etc)? Is it worthed to cut short my holiday just to attend the orientation?

are you a stay home mum? I wish I can play a more active role as well, however I find it very tough to do that since there is limited time to spend with my child since I’m working full time.
I’m still in dilemma and can’t decide what’s best for my child.

Hi, I also attended the open house yesterday. indeed the school has a very nice and vibrant environment which is great for the kids. I’m still a bit worried about the Reggio approach though… so I will keep this school in mind for my 2CS…

I salute you for being so proactive with all your PV I regret that I was not persistent to apply for PV to my school of preference eventhough the schools said it's already closed.
I guess my biggest barrier of choosing the school is the distance from my house. I have to rely on my helper, so I'd prefer the school to be within walking distance from my house.
NV is not though, so I'm hoping I can make it at Compassvale/Rivervale at 2C. I should think it's still safe to apply at NV at 2CS isnt it?

I’m considering to register my girl to Sengkang Primary school under phase 2C. Can someone give me advise on this school, on the principal, teachers, facilities, CCAs, etc?

how about Rivervale with 120 spots (60 for Phase 2C) and Compassvale 155 left. is the chances for within 1km higher than last year? I’m still pessimistic about getting into either one of them, and can’t decide which one is better.

If unlucky I can end up choosing other schools which is not walking distance from my place.

thanks for your input. I'm going to attend NV's open house next week, so I'll be able to meet the principal and listen to what he's going to say about himself and the school. It's my first time to attend any school open house, so unfortunately I can't make any comparison..... hope he can make a good first time impression on me
May I know which school did you end up choosing for your DD, did you have to go through balloting?
Since we already know the result of phase 2A, there is around ~15spots more at Compassvale vs Rivervale.
Since both are within 1km from my house, any tips on which school should I choose for my Phase 2C?

I’m still considering whether I should try my luck at Compassvale Primary or Rivervale Primary at this coming P1 registration. Both will be under Phase 2C, so I have to choose either one of them. I’m within 1km for both schools.
