Hi I realise that i can’t use chinese comma or else it will say the whole bunch of words i entered at once. If there is error check function, that would be great as i think this idea is beneficial for parents to get their kids to learn spelling by themselves, and not be dependent on adults.

RE: All About Working With Children Who Are Weak Academically
Hi, if the child is studying all standard subjects in P5 currently but fail 1 or 2 subjects at the end of this year. Will the child have to study foundation in P6 for those failed subjects?

I am always mistaken as the mother. She is not my child but a niece. Unfortunately, both her parents are not like anyone of you here. Their top priority is always themselves, never the child.
I felt bad making my niece do more after she completed what was minimally required of her, but of course i will observe her mental and physical state first. Ensure she has adequate rest or the grandmother and myself will bring her out for a while before continuing her next session of study. Initially, she was very reluctant but nowadays I have seen her give and take more, hopefully it continues.
I have no choice. She cannot remember what was taught to her unless I make her practice every time I can seize that open slot in her time, to help her retain the memory. She is that type, when she is trying to learn B, she will forget A, when she is trying to learn C, she will forget A and B, and so on. Even after several repetition, and I am quite sure she understands now, I still cannot let loose totally during school holidays. If I do, she is back to square 1.
Last Dec, niece went for about 2 weeks holiday with her parents. When she got back, I did not pay much attention on her since I have my own life too. For the rest of the Dec holiday, her daily routine consists of several hours of Roblox, youtube, tiktok days and nights. I was shocked when I checked her ipad/phone screen time. Her father told me is not a bad thing and her mother told me she wants her to relax. When school re-opened (P5), she was asked to complete P4 math paper, and she did not know how to do almost all questions. Her reasons \"I don't know\", \"I forgot\". So disheartening. As though all the time and effort put in never exist before. The grandmother has to keep her ipad and phone.
Often, it wasn't me that caused her to study extended hours. It is her own dilly dally habit. Work that can be done within an hour, she takes 2, 3 hours or maybe the whole day. If she goes on like that, she can only do the bare minimum. Come exams, when others are revising yet she is still taking her own sweet time to complete her homework of the day. As such, many times I have to sit down beside her and micromanage her, to help her keep track of her time. And most of the time, she still have sufficient time to rest and study again. When I am not around, I still have to call and check on her progress. Usually the grandmother also checks on niece to ensure she finishes on time.
She is turning 11 but her discipline and sensibility is still... :slapshead: -

Hi parents, just wondering. When your child finishes school, finishes school remedial, CCA, tuition classes, school homework, tuition homework, SLS, Ezhishi, if there are still time left in a day, after some rest, will u get your child continue to do even more practice hoping he/she is able to progress a little more since the child is slow academically? Or do you just let them do whatever they like, like ipad? Let says exams are not here yet.
