Dear 2014 Sec 3 Parents - are your boys participating in the Integrated Boarding Programme (IBP) ? What are your views?

To Parents whose boys had participated in the IBP - can you please give me your advise ? Thanks a lot

My son is in Sec 1 this year. Does anyone know when the students are suppose to complete their project (the one which they need to have a mentor with a team of 4)? My son's team seems to be quite disorganized, not knowing when is the final deadline.

If I m not wrong, next Thursday, July 5 is the semi-finals. Below is an extract:
Projects Competition Semi-finals judging is scheduled on Thu, 05 July (Term3 Week2), during curriculum time from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Looks like this couple have moved from Ang Mo Kio to Bukit Panjang. My brother-in-law’s friend saw the same incident a few days ago at Bukit Panjang mall. A mum was buying things in a shop, leaving her children standing outside the shop. When the mum realised her children were not standing outside the shop she ran out and saw a lady holding her children’s hands, walking away. The mum shouted n the lady just walk away with a man ! Not sure if there was any confrontation. 真是无法无天 ！

eclair u r most welcome. DS finished the selection meeting at 8.30pm said managed to get most of d sec one boys on his list , really an eye opening event :salute: but dead tiring event, cause it 4 consortium battling for it so started right after sch end.

Good morning Mum42 - how do they normally inform the Sec 1s of the outcome? Is it via EMB? Will some boys be offered 2 or more CCA and they decide which one they want ? Oh, your DS is involved in the selection meeting? It is not just the teachers only ? Means those holding senior positions are involved as well? I am very curious (kaypoh), if you don't mind, which CCA is your DS in (it is OK if you can't reveal) ? Thanks a lot.[/quote]

Hi eclair, yes my DS was involved in yesterday selection, don think most of d coach n teachers r there as the selection list was given out to d excos but important head r there to see to d process. No, d boy will only be posted to one CCA . Now a day d CCA will decide which boy they want n not the other way round. V seldom d boy is offer 2 main CCA but d boy still can only take one cause HCI boys have a lot of other commitment to fulfill .

Yes , those boys in d exco were involved. HCI has trained all d boys to be v independent n d boys who hold exco position were given a lot of opportunity to prove themselves to perform important task eg. like this selection. My DS is in shooting club.[/quote]

Results will be announce after today , maybe later this wk. DS said all CCA excos will meet this evening to select d sec one boys they have short listed but some sec one boys are short listed by two or more CCA, so d excos will have to battle it out tonite. :nunchuk:
