      Daddy 😧
Exactly lor... I was thinking when we should let go of our kids so they would learn to be more independent and go out on their own... But safety comes to mind.

Yup, I have always try to let my child be more independent. Often, I would leave him to jaga the table while I go and queue for food. But he's always within sight, cos I always choose seats right in front of the stall, but a few meters away. I would tell him where I am going and that he cannot run away. he can see me there in the queue and I think it gives him assurance that I am not very far away. Now with amk hub episode, I won't leave him alone in the short run. I can lose my life but I cannot lose my child.

Ever since the 2 boys were kidnapped more than 20 years ago, I have become paranoid, ESP with more foreigners now. Parents, pls do not leave your kids alone.

It's indeed very scary that this is happening. Thank goodness the mother was alert.
I always try to encourage my son to be more independent by allowing him to do things on his own such as buying things, going to classes etc. But such people make me worried. Why do we have to be living in such fearful environment? Isn't it our rights to live in a safe environment? Singapore is no longer a safe place to live in? Hope the law enforcers do something about it.

            pinky:
I read a very touching report on a PRC mother whose son was stolen while playing outside the house. He was only a toddler then and despite many pleas to the police for action, they did not bother because the traffickers actually bribed the police. So she left her husband behind, moved from village to village wearing a signboard of her son's photo and

earned a living by singing to the villagers. She said she would not give up
looking for her son even if it takes forever. People told her that the photo
may no longer be relevant bec her son's features may change with age but she believed that she can recognised him because they are 'bonded
by heart and blood'. Thus she continue her journey of love and hope and she vowed not to return until her son is reunited with her again.

 a mother's love knows no bounds 😢
Ya parents will always do anything for their kids, no doubts...

Looks like this couple have moved from Ang Mo Kio to Bukit Panjang. My brother-in-law’s friend saw the same incident a few days ago at Bukit Panjang mall. A mum was buying things in a shop, leaving her children standing outside the shop. When the mum realised her children were not standing outside the shop she ran out and saw a lady holding her children’s hands, walking away. The mum shouted n the lady just walk away with a man ! Not sure if there was any confrontation. 真是无法无天 !

Why local kids so easily led away? Or why local parents so trusting?

Chinese paper yesterday reported that a car tried to drag a 10yr old boy away on his way to school. Lucky grandma was behind him and managed to stop it. They made a police report. Not sure why the lady tried to pull him into the van/car. At simei st 5. This is getting unsettling…

I think no matter what age are our children, we still need to be on our guard. Just feel that now there are more news as people dared to come out and share what they seen or heard.

Also, with internet and handphones, news spread fast. Do carry your handphone with you and be ready to snap any pictures of these people.

These people are so daring to do such things in Singapore! If I ever see anyone of them, will not let them go off so easily. Bring along my umbrella and handphone. Hit then and snap at them and remember to yell loudly.
