RE: All About A Levels
Edureach:
A number of top arts students take KI, which is a contrasting subject. All these students had taken A-maths at yr4 or 0-Levels so they all meet the entry requirements for all business and falcuty of arts and social sciences. A-level maths is not required in this instance.
Maths is not compulsory? I thot it is in most JCs.phankao:
Subject combination: H2 Econs, H2 Geog, H2 KI, H2 Lit/Hist. H1 PW, MT. Total 10 academic units and is managable for u. The reason for dropping H2 Maths in this instance is u will be facing a squad of jc students with at least 75% having scored distinctions in maths not to mention very stiff competition from IP students.
.
Hi Edureach - I have pm you. Thank you. -

Hi I wanted to tap on this thread.
My niece has 12 points nett and is thinking to choose either SRJC or TPJC?
Her house is 10 mins away from SRJC. While TPJC will require longer travelling time. Pls advise. Thanks.
Students that made it from a lower tier jc are those with discipline and determination as the sucess rate ranges from 45-60%
Hi Edureach - I have pm you. Thanks a lot.
SRJC has an excellent track record for PW taken at jc1 whereas TPJC is ahead slightly academically.
As distance is critical, opt for SRJC. -
choosing JC!!!!
hi, im a 16 year old who has just received my o level results yesterday and AM using my mother's account. I would like to receive your advice.
My raw score is 12. After deducting cca and hmt points, my score is 8. I am planning to put acjc as my first choice, followed by AJC, SAJC, CJC. I live in jurong west.
My score breakdown:
eng: b3
emath: a1
amath: a2
chem: a2
physics: b3
pure geog: a1
combined humans: b3
hcl: b3
express chinese: b3
therefore, i am planning to take a course with 4 H2, namely: math, chem, geog, econs.
which jc is suitable? as i live in the west area, acjc is definitely better for me in terms of distance. yet, i am one point short of ac's cut-off point, which is 7.
thus, any advice? any advice would be very much appreciated! THANK YOU!
