No from HCI to RI as much more difficult to land a top leadership position in RI vs-a-vs HCI as you are likely to be out voted by girls/guys from RGS/RI. HCI has shown to be more inclusive in this area.

Over the last ten years, only one student outside RI/RGS family(junior high) managed to win the President scholarship compared to 3 for HCI even though the latter produces less President scholars.


If you scrutinise carefully, there are a total of 8 President scholars that have emerged from non IP schools over the last ten years and none of them had studied in RI.

Dh will be going for his epi-lasik next week.

He was advised by his doctor to under correct his myopia by 50 degree in one eye
so as to help him see better with his lao hua of 100 degrees.

Should dh follow the advice given by his doctor? Pls advise.

My dd has (1) soft boiled egg (with milk) for breakfast about 4-5 times/ week.

I believe eggs esp. soft boiled are good for children in their growing years.
Though dd is still skinny, she is much stronger than before.

I am quite surprised that my dd’s cramp lasted 4 days. Good thing it stopped when school started.
For my case, I get headaches, no cramps.
I take Bai Fong pills thinking that it might help, but it has only managed to make my period more regular.

You should also consider other form of \"preventive\" medicine in the long run. Try Bai Fong pill - take after period. Also, you can also boil Tang Kwei with chicken for consumption after the period. If you do not want to try Chinese tonic, you can try evening primrose pill as that is thought to help as well.

Give her panadol. Experience tells me to eat one dose before the cramps set in, ie when you see spotting.


Other than that, you could give her a warm water bottle to hug.

School’s starting next week and dd is experiencing mentrual cramp.

At one stage, my girl also had this hairfall problem. I experimented with a few shampoo brands and finally settled for one when I noticed some improvement. I have also included soft boiled eggs in her diet that are thought to be good in promoting healthy hair.


P.S. Personally, I am not sure it’s ideal to use head and shoulder on a 7 yo.
