My DD also going P1. But we have not yet received the letter. I stay Queenstown too and DD will have to take school bus too.... I hope she is not 1st up last down for her bus...... Was thinking of chartering a bus and find parents to join so they don't have to endure the distance but I guess it's tough to find enough head count....Our children nowadays very stressful. So many enrichment classes.
Which chinese class is he attending now?
Will be taking school bus as I am staying Queenstown area. u? -
RE: River Valley Primary
Dear All
I am also looking forward to the orientation… Also looking forward to registering for the school bus. Hope that the route they plan will be as short as possible.
My girl is a slow-warmer and usually quite clingy to us when in a new environment. Hope she will feel at ease with the school as soon as possible as moving to a totally new environment will be a big step up… -

RE: Using Relative's Address & Statutory Declaration
Just a thought… If SD was done and put parent’s address, but arranging for school bus is to be at own home, won’t it be obvious? Or is this not so obvious?

RE: River Valley Primary
Hi parents
I managed to get a place for next yrs P1 at rvps via P2B. Worried about the school bus price as well as the distance. Dun wanna my daughter tour around the area before reaching school.
Anyone parents have kids going P1 also? Any suggestion to the school bus issue? -
RE: [Central] Primary Schools
Hi Princezjo
Congrats to you too. I am still considering my options as well. Have not firm up yet too. Few things I am considering actually:
1) school workload
2) single session vs afternoon class
3) distance to school as will be school bus reliant
So wil be thinking through… -
RE: River Valley Primary
I called rvps and was told that within 2km no balloting needed. That means I got a place in it. But I am in two minds as I am afraid that the stress level is high there. I am actually considering pulling out and try my luck on zhangde pri or cantonment pri. My impression is that these 2 schools not so stressful.
Any parents can shed some light on the stress level of rvps? I heard that rvps stream the kids every year base on their results, meaning they may not be in the same class with their friends. Is this true?
