Anyone can advise, I wonder should place SJI before CH or vice versa? Staying sengkang.
Your son offered EESIS at 253? Is he from GEP?
Yes, he's offered, and with 3rd language option. He scored 2 A* 2 A. Still feeling a waste if dont choose IP school. Actually was advised to put Dunman as 1st choice (think very slim), then CH as 2nd choice. Should I follow this advise?MdmKS:

Your son has 253, is he offered EESIS ? I thought EESIS cut off is 260 this year ?
Any one who meets the cut off of EESIS this year, but decided not to go to an independent school in Sec 1, but subsequently goes to IP school in Sec 3, will automatically be granted the ESIP, and does not need to take the test.
EESIS : for Sec 1 admission to independent schools.
ESIP : for Sec 3 admission to IP schools.
This is my understanding.
it does not make sense to put SJI before CH.
SJI COP for past 2 year was abt 242. CH COP was 248. As posting is done by merit, your choice of CH under SJI is \"wasted\".
Thanks..u justified my initial thought. -

I see, so probably your son is from the GEP. Anyway, only ACS(I), HCI, RI and NUS High, are independent schools and offering IP. If you want to \"make use\" of the ESSIS, then, you can only choose from these 4 schools.

ESSIS aside, Dunman and NJC should have higher COP than RVH, looking at past year's COP. If your son prefers IP, you can also consider RVH as 2nd choice , then Catholic high as 3rd choice.
One more thing to note, most of the foreign languages will be held at either Bishan or Ghim Moh. If your son intends to do foreign language, CH will be very close to the Bishan MOELC. I know DH has school bus to ferry the students to the MOELC. Not sure about RV, you have to find out.
Thanks for info..got it. Dunman High also has IP. -

I think you will need to take a test which cost $20 and if you do well you will be given ESIP.

My son 253, can go IP, but if choose CHS, EESIS will not exist. If 3rd year proceed to a IP school, is he still eligible for EESIS? Anyone can help? Thanks
Top 3 choices should be:
CHS
SJI
VS
Confused as his COP for IP school very far (Sengkang), ACSI or RVH?? -
