The school has been having devotion session everyday since I was a student there 30 yrs ago, and much longer before that. We even have bible studies lessons within the timetable. As much as I believe non believers should be allowed to do their silent reading during this time, and I understand this to be the current practice, I also believe that if parents are not comfortable, they shouldnt be sending their children to study in the school in the first place. Give up the slot, there’ll be many who are eager to take it up with no complains.

I can recommend you a senior yamaha tuner. Not sure how much she charges for piano assessment.

Which one would be a better buy and why?

1. 7 year old Yamaha U1J (indo) $2.5k
2. 3 year old JU109 $2k
3. U1A Yamaha $3k

I’m staying at queenstown and my boy will be in P1 in 2016. I understand that he’ll b in afternoon session. Anyone staying nearby? May i know what time does the sch bus come and wat time does ur child reach home after sch? And how much does is the bus fee? Does P1 and 2 need to take up CCA? If so, is there any option for sch bus?

I’m a newbie moving into Strathmore Ave in 3 mths time.
My son will be in N2 in 2013 and I’m now looking for a preschool in the area with the following concerns:
- walking distance, no need for school bus.
The only 2 schools i can find tt fits this criteria are:
1. PCF at blk 53A strathmore ave
2. Good Shepherd church kindergarten at dundee road.
Both are abt same distance (5min- 10 min walk) from my place.

- School fees must be within $300 per month.
1. PCF is $80 per month. I intend to use the remaining budget to sign DS up for enrichment programmes such as phonics/ music/ taekwondo etc.
2. Good shepherd kindergarten is $650 per term (10 weeks), which works out to about $260 per month. This will mean I need to fork out additional money for his enrichment classes.

- School hours.
Currently my DS is in N1 studying 11.15am-2.15pm,which is a comfortable timing for him. However, PCF told me they only have classes 12.30pm-3.30pm. Good Shepherd only hv 11.45am-2.45pm.

With the above considerations, which school would you choose if you were me?

1. PCF pros:
- purely academic oriented.
- Affordable, I can send my son for enrichment classes.
PCF cons:
- school hours not v good as my DS takes his afternoon nap at about 3pm. I’m afraid he’ll be too tired to concentrate in class.

Good shepherd pros:
- "christian school". But do they hv "christian" teachings in class?
- School hours is more acceptable.
Good Shepherd cons:
- More expensive, I hv less money left for enrichment class for my DS.

Any comments or advce will be appreciated.
