Dnls_mum:GLORYmum:are bags in italy or france cheaper? heard about factory outlets in milan, paris and london, which best to visit? how about cosmetics like lancome? cheaper in US or France? :offtopic: I always buy Chanel in Europe. I have bought in London, Paris and Rome and several other European cities, and it's always about 30% cheaper then singapore after claiming tax refund. Have bought LV, Gucci and Prada too. All cheaper, but savings for Chanel is best. These are without discounts as LV and Chanel never gives discount. Prada is cheap at regular store, but even cheaper in outlets.Ferragamo shoes are also much cheaper then Singapore, even before discount. With discount even cheaper, without need to go outlet.Even if you don't buy designer stuff, they have lots of brandless leather bags and shoes in Italy.I don't use Lancôme, so never checked out the prices. :thankyou:

Yup, car rental is pretty reasonable, all through Australia. Be careful re their speed limits though - we learnt that being over the limits by 15km is enough to land us a 120AUD fine!

You could call the CDAC (if you are Chinese). Sometimes, they email to volunteers who might be willing to teach children from single parent families or not financially well-off. The CDAC will have quite a large database of needy families. http://www.cdac.org.sg 6841 4889For other races, I would think that their respective CDAC equivalent agencies would do the same.

thank you ladies & gentlemen, for the enthusiastic welcome... my singlish not bad hor? that's thanks to my true blue singaporean hubby (and 11 years of stay in dear lil red dot).as for photography, yea... i guess i am kinda into photography, but not so much on the lenses-buying part. being a SAHM, i have to be more prudent when it comes to spending 'monaaayy'... but yea! would love to show you some pics of my daughter... if you don't mind.as for what attracted me here, ehm, i hope i won't sound silly and obsessive compulsive... here goes. i like the way the forum topics are classified it's very clear and to the point.i used to read the singaporemotherhood forum and had always felt rather uncomfortable with the way they group the different topics into the years the children were born, ie. 2004 mum, 2005 mum, and so on. it confused me and made browsing kinda hard. does anybody else feel that way?anyway.. thanks again for the warm welcome :celebrate:

Hi,I’m looking for a childcare, preferably around Hougang area, that gives the children a lot of supervised time to play among themselves. My daughter is 4 yrs old and she currently attends a 2.5hr daily nursery. I can tell that she’s really bored at home, but she’s not interested in colouring, drawing, reading and stuff like that. I get the impression that she does lot of that in school, but not enough of ‘play’. At home she doesn’t even seem interested in playing with her own toys despite being restless most of the time. It seems that she needs someone to play with. I can’t play with her all the time since I need to do housework too, and besides, playing with an adult is not the same as playing with other children. That’s why I’m considering sending her to a childcare or a kindergarten with longer hours, one that gives her the opportunity to play with her classmates/other kids.I’m not particular about other things, like the reading, writing, etc. At this point in time, I believe she needs to play more than anything.Does anyone know of a place like that?
