RE: DSA into RI
Determination, do meet up with the school’s admission officer to discuss your concerns . They have a differentiated programme and class for boys who DSA through sports and with T score lower than 240. Is the school your DS’ first choice? If yes, ask him to write down the reasons why he wants to go to the school. You do the same too ie why you choose to DSA into the sch. These reasons can help you think positively if you feel discouraged by his academic results. The teachers are very encouraging and they arrange for remedial lessons for weaker students. As the principal tells the parents, leave it to the school to teach the boys. Hence I feel there is no need for you to send your boy for any preparation courses if you choose RI.

RE: Teacher Dreamaurora - Piano Q&A
Aside from your comments on Brahms’ Waltz, I am interested to hear your comments on the other grade 6 2013/2014 syllabus pieces, if you can share. FYI, my 8 yo played Allegretto, Adelita & For Lydia for his Grade 5 exams last mth. Thanks in advance.

RE: Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)
:thankyou:
Verysuperkiasu:
They do print quite a lot of stuff for various projects. But most of it is group work, that means one member needs to print. Sometimes, DS and his friends print in RI - there is a printing shop that charges 50 cents per color page and 5 cents per b/w page. For our case, DH sometimes helps to print from his office too.flower:
Can anyone advise if RI students need to do alot of self printing for study notes and projects etc ? just weighing the pros and cos of buying a printer for my son who is going to RI next year. The con of buying a printer is if we dont use it often, the ink cartridges will dry up and waste $.
