Hi expert, I need advise for the few questions below.


1) I am planning to apply for PV for my son’s school of choice which is within 1 to 2 km from where we are staying. Last year this school requires balloting in Phase 2C for SC within 2km. If we fail to get in through P2B, are we allow to withdraw from our 1st choice school and register for our 2nd choice school which is within 1km for P2C?

2) Usually what is the duration for registration between P2B to P2C?

3) I heard that single session school will start in 2016 country wide, if so, will there be reduction of intake?

You may get P&J Ladybug Series from Popular. It has series A, B & C. From book 1 to 12. C is exercise book. Do note that most kids find them very dry. Too boring!

I bought a P & J boxed-set of i think 6 of the books 1A-2C at Popular (Lot 1 Shoppers Mall, Choa Chu Kang) because I already sold off my first sets for the girls, thinking I won't be having any more children. Wasn't planning to work the books with chubs yet but he asked me to read to him like a story book. Since he asked for it, I just go with the flow. The P & J set worked great for DD1 as a sight reader supplement, together with Montessori Phonics we did at home, she started reading by about 4, if i remember correctly. :oops: Too many kids, so tend to forget some of their milestones liao. :rotflmao: The books didn't really work for DD2 because she somehow picked up reading by just my reading to her and her sister. Plus she seemed to be an excellent auditory learner because she picked up the Montessori Phonics pretty much effortlessly just by listening to me going over and over with her jie jie. But because DD2 started speaking only at 4yrs (thereabouts) she only revealed everything she had been observing and listening to all those years, all at one go. :shock:

I used the 'C' books as puzzles since they were not ready to write yet. Will share more when I have more time... will also try dig out if I still have them in my treasure trove.

If compare to - Sunshine Phonics- (Word Family / Letter Blends Pack) with P&J, are P&J series more boring?

Converted but looks like neighbourhood school (Yew Tee Primary School) also hard to get in. Headache…haha
