My child is left-handed, and when she writes , the words get smudged.

Not this trip as I have only two weeks to go around, and I intend to just see southern Sweden. Perhaps end this year for Northern Lights near Abisko.

You will be surprised what they have learnt. Sometimes they themselves may not realise but they do learn and the info does stay with them. I know so as I did take my 3 girls around, and I still do. Now we are in Gothenburg, and will be here for almost two weeks.

We know the benefits of Travelling, besides exposure, knowledge, it’s also relaxation and bond with family and friends.
Sometimes my children would say they didn’t remember certain places we have been or things we did, I told them the memory also includes smell and feel besides vivid images of the places. Haha, that’s my thought, you may not agree ya?..

I asked the last maid to tidy up whatever needed to be organized before she left. Then I applied for a long leave from work, first to go and buy a lot of groceries (enough for 2 months) to stock up. Second, I tried to figure out what I would need to make housework less tedious - for example, instead of doing laundry daily, perhaps doing it alternate day, to use iRobot for vacuuming the floor etc. so i kind of used the 2 months' leave orgainizing as well as testing out my plans (sometimes things did not turn out the way I planned). I think i went maid-less when my children were in Upper Primary and Secondary levels, so I was able to train them to do some basic stuff themselves.

I remembered there was a period when I was overwhelmed trying to cope work and house chores that i engaged local weekly help for a while.
You may have to ttry, and if you feel too tired or frustrated , get some temporary help till you can cope, then try again.:)

That is very true. It is up to individual preferences.
When my children were young, I found that going on package tours were stressful, because it was difficult to get my children ready in time. But I think package tours are good if it is adult travelling alone or with friend/friends, especially to a new place for the first time.:)
