😂 Hi Imai surprisingly the Japanese curry tasted quite good. First I stirfry the onions until fragrant or soft, then I throw in the chicken fillet which I cut into cubes first and fry for about two minutes, then throw in carrots and potato. Stirfry for another two minutes before adding water. When carrots and potatoes turn soft, I put in the jap curry cubes and just stir until it melts. It's done. I only used one pot ie corningware casserole --from stir frying to serving on the table. Washing up is easy too 😂

Tonight I will prepare Japanese chicken curry for dinner. It’ll be my first time cooking this dish. It seems easy and quick

After work, I rush back, hardly have time to do all that then need to guide kids with their work. How do you all cope?

It's a headache thinking what to cook everyday.

When we had a maid back then, she will cook and wash up. Then washing/hanging up wet laundry on bamboo when washing machine beeps, keeping dry clothes and folding them...hubby and I could spend that quality time coaching kids as these non-value added work takes up time.
That was indeed the biggest reason why we missed having a maid.

It's frustrating to have to coach daughter after starting the washing machine and then rushing to hang up clothes in the midst...my morning sun is very strong and that is why I have to wash at night. So with tingkat now, I have one less headache...mornings, I plan what to cook for lunch...usually a soup with meat and vege. Honestly I am still trying to think of a solution not to run off to hang clothes half way while teaching her...disruptive and frustrating to lose momentum.

I can understand the hanging clothes part. Putting up/out and keeping in. to me it's a tedious and time consuming job. worse when it rained. 😓
My sis in law recently gave me a clothes dryer. I find it really useful and makes my life easier. It really help me cut down laundry time and it's esp useful for washing my bedsheet which is big and heavy, hence more challenging to hang it properly. now I also dont have to worry about the weather anymore. rain or shine, I can still wash. After washing and drying bedsheet, I just lay it back on the bed. It saves me time folding too. the only thing is, it consumes more electricity but I have no regret having this dryer 😄

Linayh, where do u get those sticky tapes to paste on the wall to trap lizards? I want to get some. Also, how to get rid of those tiny ants without using insecticide? I used ant traps but no use.

Hi Angelight you can purchae these sticky traps at ntuc. usually I place them where you see their shit(pardon me) is. After they got trapped, you need to remove them.
as for ants, there's this rooster brand of poison which I also got from ntuc. just sprinkle them at a corner where the ants were. leave the poison there and they will all be dead very soon. it's very effective.

    • RE: Q&A - P3 Science

hi I need some clarification for a Science qu from an assessment book which I bought recently.

      Qu:
Only plants rely on the sun for survival while the rest of the living things do NOT need the sun to survive. Is this statement correct ?
Answer, given according to the assessment book, is that the above statement is incorrect because "ALL living things depend on the sun for survival. Even if the animals do not need the sun to make food, they need the heat energy from the sun to keep them warm."

My son says all living things need food, water and air to survive. Not all living things need sun to survive. without sun, will we die ? I kinda agree with him but the assessment answer also kinda make sense because sun gives us warmth. I’m confused, hence need help here.

      can someone help clarify? thanks

    • RE: Beacon Primary

hi I also don’t quite understand why need to bring uniform. I remembered when my son was in P1 and he had swimming lesson from school on Tuesday then. He had to bring his swimsuit and towel plus uniform. Bag was quite heavy. Good thing his form teacher allowed them not having to bring uniform when there’s swimming on that day. phew…

      hahaha practice makes perfect!

but you are right. hover method is only for adults.
I’m trying to imagine getting my son to hover when doing big business. not easy. think will mess up his pants instead. So kids better not try this.
