justsay:Yes, it is a global project. Many schools in Singapore participated too.sall:
Anyone has any idea are they still collecting the can tab ? The coffee shop uncle passed me a few thousands, don't know to keep or to throw.
This is the project for last yr? What is the can tab for? :?
They collect the tab for an organisation in Thailand. They will melt the tab, make it into artifical limbs and offer free for the handicap. Some make it into wheelchair. It is difficult to ask ppl to donate cash so this doctor in Thailand came out with this brilliant idea. Only the tabs can be used as it is made of different alloy from the can itself.
Those students who collected 1000 tabs will be awarded with 11 CIP hrs. Minimum CIP hours to clock each year is 6 hrs.
Wow 11 cip hours for 1000 tabs? Thats alot of tabs and alot of hours. This year only heard of 10kg newspaper=1 hr cip only
