For the abacus class enrichment class (conducted by The Enrichment Hub), is it complusary? Thought of opting out.

It is not compulsory but the school strongly encourage parent to sign up for their child. My dd will miss the first 2 lessons as we are going overseas during the March school holiday. Dun known whether there are any catch up lessons? Have already leave a note with the Form teacher.

I opt out as timing is not right. Anyway, I think is ok.

nope...Teachers' Production workbooks can be found only at this bookshop in Ghim Moh. Bought the whole set of P1 workbooks late last year.
Oh yes, I bought the 'My Grammar Guide for upper primary' too...since the lower primary one is good, bought the upper primary one as well.

      Great minds think alike

I think the Teachers' Production for lower primary is really wonderful...don't have to refer to 2 books for grammar and vocab.[/quote]Thanks a lot!

      Hi plum-cake,

OMG, I didn't seriously explore the book yet...yes, P42 is on collective nouns.

Just found a reference book for lower primary. It's from Teachers' Production. Has a chapter on 'Animals and their young' as well as the sounds/movements. But the blue Basic is a good recommendation from the school.
      Hi,

what is the full name for that vocab one ( Teachers' Production?) that you are referring?

      Tks,
      Evelyn

      Thanks a lot!

I will not say a stress school, rather a good environment for kids to learn at their pace.

West Grove also a good school in Jurong West area!

In fact, during that time I chose West Grove but could not get in. No regrets!

Do remember to know that form teacher and speak to the teacher frequently to know your child performance in school.
That will help to get excellent results!

      HiHi Wswslim & Adetan,

Thanks for the information. It really helps. Btw, is SQ a very stress school? I hope is a balance.

What about West grove if Shuqun is a better school in Jurong west area?

Adetan, what is the deciding point when you chose SQ over West grove?

      Tks,
      Evelyn

I would also like to find out more about SQ. My girl will be in P1 next yr and I am considering betweenSQ and west grove. Rulang is too competitive, think I will give a miss.

      Tks,
      Evelyn
