    • RE: Favourite MacDonald location?

If you’re looking for a spacious MCD, King Albert Park’s MCD would be a good choice especially for parents with kids. Otherwise, Lot 1 MCD looks good too but overly crowded.

    • RE: Cooking eggs

Do you know that there are 100 methods of cooking eggs but only 6 are widely known?

The chef hat has 100 folds and it actually represent the no. of methods in cooking eggs.

      Hehe!

    • RE: Would anyone eat Rojak again?

I think because we are so well trained in eating only clean and healthy food, our stomach are way to pampered for even a little germs.

Usually when we travel abroad, we are told to avoid the roadside food stalls as they may cause diarrhea but guess what? I have friends coming from Vietnam, eating our local food and have diarrhea. Our food is too clean for them!

    • RE: Fika Swedish Cafe & Bistro at Arab Street

I’ve been there once and never again. The food is decent only but at the sky high price that they are charging, tt’s better to take a cab to ikea and have your meatballs there.

Their meatballs are tough and tiny. Cakes were normal but really expensive. Service was so-so.

You may go try them for yourself and perhaps you might have a different review.

    • RE: Simple Recipes to Share

      Hi everyone,

I thought I should share my lazy recipe for moments when I don't feel like cooking but yet, wants to eat home cook. 😛

Potato pie is a recipe which I've created and is basically fool-proof. Serve 2 pax

      Ingredients:
2 Potatoes (peel and cut into cubes, put to boil)
      80ml milk
      1tbps butter
150g of meat (can be chicken, pork, mutton or beef)
2 tsb of soya sauce (marinate with the meat)
1 tsb of pepper (marinate with the meat)
      1 cup of mix vegetables
1 whole white onion, diced (I love onions but amount may be reduced to your own preference)
      Egg Yolk for brushing

      Methods:
      Preheat oven at 180 degree.

Using 1tbsp oil, pan fry the diced onions. Once fragrant, put in marinated meat and fry till cooked. (black pepper may be added for more pepper-ish taste). Throw in the mix vegetable and fry till oil coats vegetable. Remove from pan and lay the fried mixture onto the base of a oven safe glass dish (this can be those disposable aluminum loaf pan). Around 6\".

Once potatoes are cooked (using fork and poke into the potatoes. When cooked, fork should be easy to pull out and the potato pieces should break when poke into).

Drain the potatoes and mash them up with milk and butter. Once mash until a smooth texture, lay it on top of the meat. Brush a layer of egg york over the potatoes. Using a fork and slightly press the top to form patterns.

Put into oven to bake for 15mins.

Once the top is slightly brown, it's done. *Ting!*
