    • RE: All About Guzheng/Pipa

      beautyseek:
My child is learning guzheng as CCA in P3 (now). She has been selected to be in the SYF team. I am hoping she can use this as DSA. She is learning piano (Grade 4) and I do not wish to add on another grading exam for her (since additional stress and workload and lessons).

Can any kind parent help to advise:
      1. Can she still use guzheng as DSA if she does not go for grading (only participate as school CCA and SYF)?
      2. If grading is a must for DSA, is it possible not to go for private class on guzheng but just rely on school CCA practise?
Hi!! Im a Y2 student who's in guzheng cca now and based on my friend who tried to DSA (she doesn't have private classes but only school CCA sessions), it is really really hard to get in. It would be almost impossible without taking grade. I've had friends who take grade outside but are still unable to pass through. It would definitely be easier to get in with T-score then applying for the CCA as they lower the standards afterwards šŸ˜„

A quick question, does DHS offer Art Elective Program, or its in-house equivalent?

Yep, it does. And its held in the school itself
