oh my goodness! what kind of upbringing is this?

Stomper Mag saw a boy running around naked at Changi Food Centre during dinner time yesterday (Apr 1).

The parents of the boy, who are Chinese nationals, also allowed the boy to pee openly on the floor, according to a stall owner at the food centre.

      The Stomper said:

\"This papa and mama from China let their little precious toddler run around naked at Changi Food Centre during dinner time yesterday (Apr 1).

\"When I initially saw the boy, he was in his underwear.

\"However, after a while, I saw him running around completely naked.

\"One of the stall owners also told me that the boy earlier peed on the floor at the area where the tissues are in the photograph.\"

    • RE: IVF baby mix-up - TMC

i wonder how is their relationship like...

Thomson sperm mix-up case: Mum can sue for expenses of raising daughter
But judge says emotional well-being of child at stake

A woman who was impregnated with another man's sperm instead of her husband's by mistake at a fertility clinic is entitled to sue for the expenses of raising the child she conceived, the High Court has ruled.

Justice Choo Han Teck overturned an earlier decision rejecting her bid. However, he concluded his written judgment by cautioning her that pursuing this claim was against the emotional well-being of the child, named Baby P in the lawsuit.

\"What I now say may not be a principle in law, but I believe that it is a treasured value in humanity, and that is that no parent would want her child to grow up thinking that she (the child) was a mistake,\" said the judge.

Justice Choo said if the woman succeeded in her claim, every cent spent on the child's upbringing will remind her that it was money from a compensation for a mistake. \"Baby P should not ever have to grow up thinking that her very existence was a mistake,\" he said.

    • RE: Are you ready for 7 million people on tiny Singapore?

actually, back in 2008, the then MM wasn't keen on having 5.5 million people in SG already...

MM Lee 'not sold' on 6.5 million population

      Li Xueying

      Fri, Feb 01, 2008
      AsiaOne

MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew 'has not quite been sold' on the idea of a 6.5 million population size in Singapore.

Instead, he projects for Singapore an optimum population size of five to 5.5 million for Singapore.

He said on Friday: 'I have not quite been sold on the idea that we should have 6.5 million.'

'I think there's an optimum size for the land that we have, to preserve the open spaces and the sense of comfort.'

MM Lee was speaking at think-tank Institute of Policy Studies's conference 'Scenerios for the Next Generation', which seeks to gaze into the crystal ball and discuss what Singapore will look like come 2030.

Speakers, including Cabinet ministers, academics and journalists, held forth on subjects such as how the economy should evolve, cultural trends, and the Singapore identity.

Over an hour-long dialogue with some 900 participants, MM Lee touched on issues ranging from whether Singapore has the talent pool to sustain a two-party political system, to the widening income divide.

One question, posed by the moderator, diplomat Tommy Koh, was whether Singapore is guilty of overbuilding.

A year ago, the Government had announced that it is making plans to accommodate a population of 6.5 million people - up from the current 4.5 million - in the next 40 to 50 years.

This sparked off worries about overcrowding.

it seems like Gleneagles and KKH will be charging $15 to ensure that your newborn baby is yours! how can they allow this? why do we have to pay them further to make sure that they are doing their job right?
