      angel:
      There were a total of 293 pears in three boxes.

      When 30 pears were moved from Box A to Box B, and 22 pears were moved from Box B and Box C, there were twice as many pears in Box A as Box B and 18 more pears in Box C than Box A.
      How many pears were there in Box B at first?
      Box A [..........][..........][30]

      Box B [.....[30]][22]

      Box C [..........][.....[22]][18]

      Total 293 Pears

      Based on the above,

      If 293 - 18 = 275 pears (5 units)
      5 units -> 275 pears
      1 unit -> 55 pears
      Box B -> 55 + 22=77

      There were 77 pears in box B.

      angel:
      The capacity of one cup and two bottles is 790 ml.

      The capacity of two cups and one bottle is 620 ml.
      What is the capacity of one cup and one bottle?

      Kindly advice using models? Thank you very much.
      [C][B][B] } 790ml
      [C][C][B] } 620ml
      [C][B] }?

      Based on the above, the capacity of one cup and one bottle is:

      If
      [C][B][B] [C][B][B] } 790ml x 2=1580ml
      [C][C][B] } 620ml

      1580ml - 620ml = 3 bottles = 960ml
      1 bottle = 960ml / 3 = 320ml
      2 cups = 620ml - 320ml = 300ml
      1 cup = 300ml / 2 = 150ml
      1 cup & 1 bottle = 320ml + 150ml = 470ml

      Therefore the capacity of one cup and one bottle is 470ml.
