Well tell your children don’t worry, they are not the only ones who are having trouble with the questions, the cut off points will vary according to the performance of the whole cohort so they are not lagging behind. We are all in the same boat, they can’t possible only take in those with a psle score of AL6 and less if only a few people meet the requirements. Stay strong! Don’t worry, be happy, you abilities are there, doesn’t matter how hard the paper is, your position in the cohort doesn’t really drop!Jiayou!

For the volume one, the ans is 7 and for the ratio of parallelogram to the triangle is 1:1 as both of the areas are 5cm2. If you get different ans , most likely draw triangle wrongly in the first place

Thanks for sharing.
My son's answer is 6, and ratio is 2 : 3.

there might many ways to draw the triangle. They might still have the same perimeter but different area so it might depend on the triangle drawn

Thanks for sharing. Will tell her tomorrow. From what she shared earlier one of her classmates got 5:6, others 10:9, 5:8. She and one other got 1:1 but was so many varied answers. 😂

1:1 is the correct ans. My son and classmates all got 1:1

.....
My daughter’s classmates had all kinds 5:5,5:3,5:4,5:6,5:7 but all agree the first one is 5 units. Actually, it depends on how you draw because same perimeter does not equal same area, there are other ways to draw which makes it possible to have more than 1 ans
My DD said too. These are trickier questions for EL that she can remember.

What quality helped Dina to save her brother? Selflessness VS Cleverness
What criteria for the best educator award? Number of nominations VS Commitment to the job
What was taught in the club? Personal grooming VS Exercise

Most people put number of nominations but in the passage they said ‘ like many others, she received many nominations’ However, the winner must be the one that stood out, not one of the few. The last one is exercise, after a lot of discussion, most of my class agreed. Cleverness vs selflessness… We had a shouting match haha.
Also, there is another one
Under the teacher’s guidance, John became more_____. All three options are debatable.

So, what you mean, the answer for this one should be \"Commitment to the job?\"
I’m my opinion, I think it is better, but I have no guarantee about it for none of us have the actual answers

I learnt from experience that tuition is not very helpful because it takes up too much time and is not 100%. I think it is better for your kid to figure out his or her weaknesses and focus on those. After all, no one knows them better than themselves.

LC was very hard I heard. Now even LC cannot be complacent, at least for paper you know the definite wrong or right answer after discussing. My older daughter said their class had a shouting match and still cannot determine the right answer for any questions. LC got more tricks liao, must be careful, cannot think LC easy, later die.

Psle science sketch notes is a great book too. But usually sold out. It is the best for visual learners
