Looks like we already have kids in the same class, my ds is in 1G too.

By the way, any one knows how they group the kids into their various classes? Is it by Tscore?

By the way, mummies who wish to appeal, you can download the appeal form on TKSS website. Click on the ‘Admission’ tab, the link to the Appeal Form is right at the bottom of the page (after all the information on DSA).
My dd was posted to TKSS too. We went to TKSS open house and he immediately fell in love with the school. So when he was been accepted by TKSS, he was elated. The orientation went on well and he likes the principals and teachers. He needs to travel an hour each to/from school. We did warn home of the travel time before he submits his selection. I guess if you really likes the school, you will be motivated to work harder. What is more important is you are happy and you have taken the distance and travel time into consideration when you make your decisin.

Don forget that JC and university may be far from home too... Just my 2 cents worth.

Where do you live?

Sengkang. DD will be Sec 2 next year and life is great in TKSS per dd.
Hi,
May I know what's the traveling time from Seng kang for your dc? My ds is posted to this school and we stay in Pasir Ris.

BB KS mummy:
Hi all. Interesting to read this thread with all kind of info on schools. My ds get 245 for his psle. I m leaving him to make his own decision since he is gg to spend the next 4 yrs there. His preference of choice will be :

1st : Victoria school O level route (with COP of 246)
2nd : Anglican high with COP of 242
3rd : Chung cheng high with COP of 239

Hope to hear smthing (whether positive or negative) frm u parents abt tis schools.
Hi,
Your choices are similar to mine, are you by any chance staying in Pasir Ris area (judging from your choices)?

My ds scored 241, trying for:
1: VS IP (252)
2: VS O (246)
3: Anglican (242)
4: Nan Chiau (240)
5: Chung Cheng High (239)
6: Nee Ann Sec (235)

Hi,

This may not be an important question but just my curiousity, does VS has a back gate where students who take public transport can enter/exit? I find the main gate a distance to walk, my son will be taking bus if he DOES get in the school.

• RE: Victoria School

Hi,

My son has been offered a direct admission to VS via Art Elective Programme. May I know if there is any parent with son currently in the programme to share their experience? I know that it is a 4 yr programme, but I would like to know what is expected of my son and how intensive is the programme. I wouldn’t want him to spend so much time in the programme that will affect his other subjects. Thanks in advance.

• RE: Berries - Discussion

Hi,

I would like to know what’s the difference in teaching method between TH & Berries too, pls PM me. I am thinkingcof signing up my son for Berries Tampines (NTUC building) branch. Any members with kids at that branch?
