      Hi Panicmum

If you want to see the teachers in action and lessons in progress, you need to visit them on weekdays. I went there on Sat (think the staff prefer Sat so that we can get to talk to the teachers) and there was only 1 child there so could not see lessons in progress. Do let me know what you think of the cc. I understand that ngee ann poly staff get lower rates but not sure how much lower though.

    • RE: All About HFMD

      Hi,

Just to share my experience...my 11mth old baby caught the HFMD bug about a month ago. So poor thing...she had spots all over her body, not just hand foot and mouth. Thankfully she had only 1 ulcer in the mouth but a few spots on her lips. She could not eat/drink well nor crawl properly. Lasted about a week. It's really heartaching to see her suffer.

She got it from church. My fren's 8 year old daughter was carrying her in the morning and that afternoon, that girl started developing fever and the next day ulcers. My baby only started having fever on the following wednesday.

there's no telling when or how our kids might just catch the virus...cos we won't know whom they come into contact with who might already be carrying the virus...now i just try to make sure that no one else carries my baby except her caregivers. ๐Ÿ˜ž

      Hi jedamum,

I'm worse, don't say little, up to now i'm also not a girlie girl myself so i seldom dress up my girls, most of the time they are in tshirt and shorts.

It's always like tat hor, my hubby prefer boys and yours prefer girls, but both don't get wat they want. haha!
Hi cckmummy & Jedamum (got it right this time.Sorry  )

Another thing in common...me also not the girlie kind...and I hardly dress up my girls.

Hi cckmummy, champion, jademum and caroline2sg,

hope i have not missed any name out...so nice to know that there are already so many mummies that i can connect with.

cckmummy, I am considering going to work part time next year. I just resigned in may this year. I shifted to Bt Timah cos it used to be near my mum's place at Toh Yi. One good thing about my current place is that it's near enough to MGS and Pei Hwa. Hopefully no balloting within 1km ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Hi cckmum and Champion

I really regret moving out of CCK. Used to stay in Northvale. Now the people around me all seem to stay in CCK and BPJ. I m staying near Bt Timah Plaza now. My older gal is born Oct 05 and younger one Sep 07. cckmum, our girls' age very close.

So we all should have common topics to talk about :p. M currently a sahm. how about yourselves? I have actually registered my older gal at Newton Kindy for next year cos I heard about the focus on Chinese and someone who has a grandchild there said that it's very good. But I m still quite doubtful about it partly cos of distance and partly cos of the big class size (30 to 2 teachers for nursery class, with 1 teacher assistant).

cckmum, me like you also just started looking for preschool for my girl recently. we so last minute

    • Caterpillar's Cove

Hi, is there anyone who is able to comment on the caterpillar cove child care centre at Ngee Ann Poly? I went for a visit there and was really impressed by one of the teachers I talked to and the environment. The fees are rather expensive. Itโ€™s apparently under the umbrella of NTUC Childcare.
